We have received some impressions from customers who have purchased the super popular model "COUCH POTATO," so we would like to share them with you! Nice to meet you. I've been surfing for 20 years, I'm 170cm tall and weigh 75kg, and I live in Shonan. I rode Lost Surfboards from 1996 when Love Surf opened until about 1998. He used to ride a Dino Andino model, made by the father of the popular Kolohe Andino. When we first started surfing, surfboards with extremely steep nose rocker were the norm, but when the DINO model came out with a low rocker, I remember being quite shocked. Looking back, I think the Mayhem was amazing, as it reduced the nose rocker from the days when the nose rocker was sharp to a more low rocker. Recently, there happened to be a test ride event nearby, so I took the opportunity... The waves were chest-high and damper-like. That's where I discovered the Couch Potato. I was in great shape, and by chance I saw on Love Surf's website that they were taking reservations, so I pre-ordered the 5/7. I was told that the 5/6 would actually be fine, but I chose that size with full suit season in mind. It was my Tanabata debut, and the waves were waist to belly high, onshore, with a lot of tide, and a plodding feel with no power, so it was the kind of condition most people would dislike, as an hour on a normal shortboard would be enough (lol). I tried out one board, and fell off on the first try... The takeoff was so fast that I was moving faster than the board I had ridden at the test ride, and my body couldn't keep up... It was worse than I expected. Gradually, my body got used to it and I began to get a grasp on its characteristics. This was the first time I'd ever experienced a board of this type that moved so well. I used the Mayhem fins that came with the board when I bought it in the quad setting. When taking off, the tail feels like it's floating up. That common feeling of the board flopping on thick sections... that's no longer necessary. Just swing it left and right like skating and it will go down. The lip also rises vertically. It's easy to accelerate, so your tricks will have more punch. A professional diver I know was in the boat. The overriding alarm went off and he pulled my leash when I took off (lol).
