Cheers erupted from a rickety tower off the coast of Sumbawa as a Monster Air check for $20,000 (roughly 3 million) was handed over. Stab High, presented by Monster Energy, has evolved dramatically over the past five events. Following its first two live iterations (2018 and 2019) at Perfect Swell Pool in Waco, Texas; Mentawai Islands (2020), Central America (2021), Lakey Peak ( 2022 ). This time in 2024, it will return to a live event format, this time held at Perfect Swell Shizunami Wave Pool in Japan. On June 22nd and 23rd, surfing's biggest stars will be showing us what the Perfect Swell Shizunami Wave Pool can do. You can see it. With support from YETI, this year's event will feature three divisions: Men's, Ladybird (girls 15 and under), and Bottle Rocket (boys 15 and under). Additionally, the Monster Air Award will be presented to the surfer with the most impressive air of the competition, regardless of division.
