This is a report on the test drive event held at Shonan Chigasaki Park yesterday, Saturday.
This is a report on a test ride event that was held with customers from the "Murasaki Sports Kanagawa Area." The location is Chigasaki Park in Shonan. In addition to LOST and PLACEB, many other manufacturers were also exhibiting. Approximately 70 people participated. The waves were small, about knee-high, but there were so many waves that everyone was happy. I rode a lot of different boards from 9am to 3pm. LOST has been late in stocking their stock boards, and the RNF-RETRO has been extremely popular, with many people who have pre-ordered saying they can't wait to ride it! Many people have been looking at the Luvsurf website, and have seen " RNF-RETRO " for the first time. Hmm, I see, so this is the much talked about `` RNF-RETRO '' - and everyone was paying close attention. " DRIVER " also had a BRO dimension, I received feedback that it can be ridden even in small waves. The RNF-REDUX can also be ridden with a carbon wrap, so the test rides were very popular. At PLACEBO, many people said they would like to try riding the upgraded Goblin-Sprint . If you already ride a Goblin, try out a Goblin-Sprint , "You can clearly see the difference even with this wave!" was the comment we received. Both of these kids seemed to like the light and easy-to-move 5'4" Goblin-Sprint , and said they would come to the test ride event scheduled for Kugenuma in June, so they would like to ride the 5'4" Goblin-Sprint again! I've ridden boards from other manufacturers and the RE-LOADED is easier to ride and much more fun! Some people came back to ride it multiple times, and I received feedback that, unlike a funboard, I was able to control it well. " RE-LOADED " was especially popular among female surfers!

Their appeal lies in the fact that they offer great take-off speeds thanks to their overwhelming buoyancy, and that the impact of collisions is minimal, preventing injury. However, cheap sponge boards cannot compare in performance to regular surfboards. I tried a variety of boards, but many of them were difficult to take off from. You buy a sponge board because you're attracted to the color, design, and advertising that's popular with surfboard marketing, but when you try it out, you realize that its performance is only for recreational surfers, and after riding it a few times you get bored of it and only ride it when you bought it. This board was designed to prevent this from happening. Conventional soft top boards have the same structure as Costco's sponge board, the world's best-selling board, and the fins and leash plugs are attached by passing them through the deck, just like a bodyboard. The more you use it, the more water gets in through the holes, making it heavy, and it can also cause your car to flood every time you ride it. However, the inside of the Placebo ORCA soft top board is a real surfboard. Its structure is based on a shaped EPS center stringer, two layers of 4oz + 6oz cloth glassed with epoxy resin to form the deck, a thin layer of bamboo on top of that, and then a soft top attached to that. This makes it extremely strong, and the soft top absorbs shocks. Its structure is completely different from typical molded sponge boards. The bottom is a hard bottom painted with the same epoxy resin as a regular board, so you can ride it just as well as your usual hard board. The trick to riding this Placebo ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom well is to load up firmly and ride on a big line. This will allow you to make large, relaxed turns with graceful drive. When you want to rip, step on the tail and load up on your back leg to move lightly. The Placebo ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom is the softboard of choice for serious surfers like you who surf year-round. It also features genuine FCS II fin plugs, so you can use your existing FCS II fins. The PVC rubber-covered deck takes on a lifelike ORCA texture when wet, providing a smooth, non-slip grip with no wax required, whether barefoot or wearing boots. The takeoff is extremely fast, and it gives you confidence and space to do things you wouldn't normally do, like switch stances and nose rides! This board has a very high-end construction for a board called a softboard. The shape design of the LOST "ORCA" model, designed by Mayhem, has been updated with size adjustments. Even in areas where the wave isn't digging, the Placebo "ORCA" has a steeply angled vee at the tail, so you can step firmly on the tail and easily turn into a rail. Once you take off, it's easy to pick up speed, making most tricks like floaters a breeze. All three sizes have enough buoyancy to even noseride the "Hang Five." The more you ride, the more you'll be able to get the most out of the Placebo ORCA's performance. By using the buoyancy to gain speed, you can make sharp turns. The Placebo ORCA's acceleration performance is good on any wave face, so you'll have enough speed to turn. The typical sponge boards used in surf schools don't have the bounce back after bending at the bottom, so even pros can only make half-hearted turns without much drive, but the Placebo ORCA is a real surfboard, so it bounces up to the top as well. This gives you more time to watch the waves and makes it easier to time your turn to get into the barrel. Hiroki, a Love Surf AM team rider and weekend office worker surfer, rode this board for the first time on a crowded Golden Week day and said he was able to catch the most waves in a short amount of time this year! There are three board sizes available. How about a "Orca" that can eat up even small waves? It has plenty of buoyancy and a soft top, so it's safe for beginners and kids to use. If you remove the fins, you can use it as a finless board at the beach where soft boards without fins are allowed, and it's also great for fun situations where you go to the beach with friends or family and everyone has fun riding together.
Learn moreIt was super crowded! Here's a photo of Hiroki, a weekend office worker surfer, riding Placebo's ORCA for the first time during Golden Week!
Suddenly! With the buoyancy, we started with a "Hang Five" nose ride!! Take a look at this sequence. Even in places where waves like this can't be created, the Placebo ORCA has a steep VEE at the tail, He steps firmly on the tail and easily puts the rail in to make a turn! Once you take off, it picks up speed easily, and as you can see, it's a floater! See also this sequence (continuous photo). The more Hiroki rode the Placebo ORCA , the more he was able to get the most out of it. At 6'2", he makes such sharp turns using the 50cl of buoyancy. This kind of turn can be done before the first photo. Placebo 6'2" ORCA 50cl's acceleration performance is good on any wave face, Because it's going fast enough! Ordinary sponge boards bend at the bottom but don't have any rebound, so even a pro can only surf with half-hearted turns without much drive, but the inside of Placebo's ORCA is a real surfboard, so it can bounce up to the top and surf like this! You won't be left behind by the waves and you'll have time to see the waves well, This makes it easy to time your shots to be wrapped in the barrel. According to Hiroki, a weekend office worker surfer who rode this board for the first time during Golden Week, Although it was Golden Week and very crowded, everyone was able to catch the most waves this year in a short amount of time! ▪️Placebo 『ORCA』Soft top/Hard bottom model explanation video This is the Precevo soft top. The market is flooded with boards made of sponge, This PLACEBO soft top board is different from those sponge boards. This board falls into the category of "soft top boards." The bottom is coated with epoxy resin, and the deck has a killer whale (orca) design with a black and white embossed skin. With a wide nose, wide center and tail, and a flat rocker, this board design is strong in small waves. This is a pre-release version of the ORCA shape design that was previously available at LOST. Inside this ORCA is a surfboard! Shaped EPS center stringer foam, Two layers of 4oz + 6oz cloth are applied to the deck surface with epoxy resin. Then, a thin layer of bamboo is applied on top of that. The structure is such that a soft top is attached on top of it. This makes it a very strong and shock-absorbing board. These colorful boards, which come from the same factory as the sponge boards used in schools and Costco's Storm Riders, are durable and don't get heavy from the rails fraying or seawater getting in through the fins or leash plugs. It's probably stronger than a regular surfboard. After trying various bottom options, including softer ones, we decided to release the board with a hard bottom, because surfing isn't fun if you can't feel good riding the waves. This also means you can use the real fins from the FCS2 you already own. Of course, if you remove the fins, you can ride it as a finless board, and because it falls into the softboard category, you can use it at beaches that support it. This is a board that really lasts a long time, so it would be fun to get one and try riding it. Wax is not necessary. It has been tested to provide a firm grip even without wax, so you can rest assured that it will remain in good condition for a long time without wax. This board is really soft and durable, so you can jump on it without any worries! Of course, the deck surface is also durable. There is a moderate amount of rocker, so it moves smoothly. And it's a very sturdy board! There are three sizes available: 34CL for 5'6", 40CL for 5'10", and 50CL for 6'2". It has a lot of buoyancy, so you can enjoy the small waves in the summer! https://vimeo.com/267764200

This is the Magic Board "DRIVER" that Mason Ho rode. If a Magic Board is ridden by a team rider and they want the same board, it is returned to the shaping room like this and a clone board is made. This is a glass factory exclusively for LOST surfboards. They seemed very busy as orders for boards had reached an all-time high. We work in two shifts, with people divided into daytime and nighttime shifts. Carbon tail patch developed by LOST. The carbon is concentrated in the rear heel and toe areas, which are the most heavily loaded areas, to protect the board from dents. These are the boards placed in front of the airbrush room. The expected completion date is written. "Terry Singh" will be working on it. The ARCTIC foam with the polar bear mark is produced in a large factory in Mexico. The foam is beautiful and evenly packed, making it easy to shape and glass. LOST mainly uses it because of its stable quality.
