The ``ROCKET'' tail effect of ``PUDDLE JUMPER-JP'' is amazing!
Today's Masato is using SUB-BUGGY's CARBON WRAP. MARKO's high performance EPS foam and MAYHEM's excellent shape design and Carbon Wrap converts the twist and flex that occurs when turning into speed. The new technology board was the center of attention. If you take a long boat, you can run to the side of the pier and return, and then easily go out to sea. Nishii also runs to the side of the pier many times in the same way. Today's theme is "PUDDLE JUMPER-JP". If you ride the unique wave quality of Huntington Beach from outside to inside, The waves rise up inside, This section is the best part of surfing at Huntington Beach. The "PUDDLE JUMPER-JP" is wide, I was worried about whether I could ride the waves well. When I actually rode the PUDDLE JUMPER-JP, Like this, I was able to take action without any problems. If you can ride waves of this size and quality like this, you can probably ride almost any wave in Japan. After all, because the tail is a "ROCKET" tail, It can rise and fall instantly, The combination of "PUDDLE JUMPER" and "ROCKET" tail A wonderfully matching design combination! The middle of Huntington Beach is a deep terrain, There are sections that are called "Mashi" or "Tsurai" that must be done. The wide design allows you to move smoothly and connect to the inside, It would be fun to ride in the thick waves at Katakai in Kujukuri. He also had great speed on the backside, The board movement doesn't feel wide. The "ROCKET" tail effect of the "PUDDLE JUMPER-JP" This session proved that it is possible to ride not only small waves but also waves of this type.
Learn moreWho will be riding the JW-DRIVER model that won the US Open?
The water was beautiful today and I was able to take some great photos, so please take a look. The photographer is me, Nishii! I had heard that the sandbar on the South Side was good a few days ago, so I took Masato, who had just arrived last night, to take some photos. Masato, who appeared in a full white suit prepared for the shoot, was riding the DRIVER model . This is the same JW-DRIVER that Julian Wilson rode to victory at the US Open here in Huntington Beach. So I'm going to have a ride in Huntington Beach. It was a perfect match for the wave quality, which had some great spots on the inside. The swell was coming in from the north, It was bigger than the San Clemente area. The waves are forecast to get bigger over the weekend, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the waves will be like.
Learn morePlease see the comparison photos of PUDDLE JUMPER-JP and GOBLIN.
Please see the comparison photos of PUDDLE JUMPER-JP and GOBLIN . The width of the nose of the left Paddle Jumper JP is wider and rounder, so I can imagine that paddling can be done stably. You can imagine that the goblin on the left is thinner and moves faster. The width of the tail of the right Goblin is around the width of the elevator wing. The right puddle jumper JP is narrower. Just an outline comparison, The Puddle Jumper JP has a wide nose, while the Goblin has a narrow one. The wider tail is the lower Goblin, and the narrower tail is the upper Puddle Jumper JP. The outline of the nose and tail width has been adjusted to ensure a good balance and prevent any imbalance in performance. This is just a comparison of these two models, but please use it as a reference when choosing your board in the future. Both are LOST boards, so they are a perfect match for this MAYHEM fin M size QUAD!
Learn moreBy choosing the right board for the wave conditions, you can surf smartly and have more fun than anyone else!
GOBLIN=SUPER DIABLO I surfed Salt Creek in a 5'4" Goblin 32CL with a chest-sized set. "Goblin" and "Super Diablo" are boards that you can step on and sink, so The speed produced by each turn is different, so you can surf at high speed immediately after takeoff. For reference, Nishii weighs 60kg. The actual rails have a thin rail design that doesn't make the numbers seem too obvious, The rails are also designed to stay in place for a long time, making them less noticeable on a board with a 32CL, giving you more drive in your turns. If you have the "Goblin" or "Super Diablo" models, "A board that can take off quickly" = "A board that can ride set waves from offshore", so In crowded places, other people will be jealous, so Please try not to go overboard. The Goblin and Super Diablo are great fun in small, weak waves. The movement is sharp and light, which is hard to imagine given its wide appearance. To enjoy surfing, you need to change your surfboard, the most important tool, to suit the wave conditions. Prepare as many boards as possible to suit your style and preferences and handle a wide range of wave conditions. By choosing the right board for the wave conditions of the day, you can surf smartly and have more fun than anyone else!
Learn moreI would definitely recommend the GOBLIN=SUPER DIABLO to older guys who are afraid to ride a buoyant board and are not confident in their leg strength.
GOBLIN = SUPER DIABLO Nishii arrived in California on a cold morning after the heavy rain last night and immediately got on the Goblin. This is a beach break with small waves that are said to be one foot high in California, with knee-high waves at set. The other day, Hiroki was riding the same board as "SUPER-DIABLO" , The difference is in the shape of the tail, with the elevator wing and stealth swallow tail specifications. This is the latest evolution of Mayhem's classic "FISHQUEST," surpassing all of its capabilities. The board measures 5'4" and is 32cl. In the previous series "CONQUEST", "DIABLO" and "FISHQUEST", This board offers the best balance of paddle performance and maneuverability in small waves! Even though it's 32cl, there's never been a board with so much rail and so much stepping power before. As Mayhem has lauded it, a revolutionary board has been released that is only available in Japan. With a buoyancy of over 30cl, it's as easy to paddle as a longboard and takes off quickly. It has good mobility, is fast, and can be moved easily and lightly. It's the perfect board for an old man like me. Nose riding is also possible, Even in small waves, you no longer need a long board! I would definitely recommend this to older guys who are afraid to ride a buoyant board and are not confident in their leg strength. And for those who know the greatness of "FISHQUEST" and "FISHQUEST2"!
Learn moreIntroducing the new collaboration model between Taj Burrow and Mayhem, "Tube Pig"!
The Tube Pig The next collaboration with Taj Burrow is the "Tube Pig." It was born in 2014. We created it for Taj as a quiver for him to use in his local waters. We wanted to give him a few special boards that would withstand and perform in the big, beefy barrels he loves in the beach breaks and aggressive reefs he loves. We didn't focus too much on contests, making them lightweight, or mastering heavy airs and fins, but instead added a few elements that would make them durable and suitable for a variety of conditions. What makes this board special is that it measures 5'9" 18.32" 2.25" and has a volume of just 25 liters. It has a more pronounced round pintail, a thinner than average hip area between the feet, and a nose that is a little wider than typical. All of this gives it a lot of drive. Combined with the outline is a very typical high performance rocker, but with less concave rail rocker that runs parallel to the stringer line, resulting in no sharp curves or divergences in the rail line. A less noticeable feature is that the nose is slightly thicker than both the 12" and 24" tails, which makes for easier paddle force and front foot drive. These specifications are different from "Round-Up" or "Rock-Up" boards, and it's not like a short step-up board. It's not a particularly different look, but the individual parts combine to form a good overall result. When I was shaping the first one, I wrote "Tube Shooter" along the stringer (the original model name). Recently, when a swell rolled in in West Australia, Taj sent me a ton of excited emails and texts. "I don't know if you're interested, but this is the best board I've ever ridden in a tube. It's truly a Tube Pig. The thickness makes it incredibly maneuverable, and it split the entire tube like a knife, more than any other shorter board. It has more paddle power to catch the wave, and because it's shorter, it fits the curve of the wave better than a gun. This thing is going to work." Along with this message, Taj sent me videos and photos of his relentless challenge. Tube Pig...by Taj Burrow. Now, you can build your own Pig. Choose the same size as you normally ride, or choose a slightly longer size. This board is primarily for these powerful, pumping, hollowed out beach and reef breaks. Use your gaze to set the tone for the next action, Move your left arm, right arm, and then your upper body down the line of sight. Twist your waist and swing the board with your lower body. This riding video was shot in super slow motion This movement has also been recorded and is easy to watch, so please take a look.
