Today, I attended a test drive study session attended by about 100 people from all over the country.
Today, about 100 people from all over Japan gathered at Murasaki Sports at Nakazato Beach in Chiba Prefecture. I went to a test ride workshop with a surfboard sales representative. There are a total of 48 "LOST" and "Placebo" surfboards available for test rides! The waves were onshore, waist-chest high, and there were plenty of them, so everyone was having fun riding them. The 2014 new model "NEW RIP QUEST" was being ridden by many people for the first time, It was highly rated and was the most popular model for test drives. The "V2-SB" model is also very popular, with many people wanting to try it at least once. "SHORT ROUND" model in quad, Masato was in top form, landing four air reverses in the short time of the morning session. Akira Nakaura, a new professional golfer who has just joined the FU WAX team, was also at the venue. Mr. Sugaya, the manager of the Chigasaki store, Apparently, the item he's looking for today is the "SHORT ROUND" model. We know the true benefits of FU WAX and how it differs from other waxes, so please come and hear about its benefits. Masato carefully explains the test ride boards and recommends boards. The famous Kappaboard was also a popular test ride. We also had the V2-SB Hydroflex ride the limited edition CONQUEST EL-DIABLO airbrush board. "SHORT ROUND" was the center of attention. The person who was skillfully riding it was Mr. Sugiyama from the Chigasaki store. If you're in the area, please come and hear our test drive impressions. As expected, everyone has a smile on their face after test riding Kappaboard's "LAYZ POTATO" model. He used FU WAX on his recent trip to Tahiti and shared with us his delightful feedback that "I didn't slip even once." Professional golfer Tatsuya Fukagawa took a test ride on the new RIPQUEST. The "COUCH POTATO" model was also ridden by many mini board enthusiasts. Professional surfer Hiroto Arai from the FU WAX team also came to the venue to surf. Mr. Obama from the Fujisawa store is tall, but he is 5'2" and can skillfully maneuver the "SHORT ROUND" to the inside. It was a long ride. The new size of 5'4" is also popular among those within the ideal weight range. This is the new 6'0" size "FISQUEST II" which was a popular choice with heavier riders fighting over it. We received a lot of feedback about the LAYZ POTATO model, with people saying it was "easy to ride." "CONQUEST EL-DIABLO" is "big and thick, but it moves!" Everyone who has actually ridden it will tell you. The "BEACH BUGGY" model was also ridden by many people who love high performance boards. The 5'5" V3-ROCKET model is a new size, so those who fit the size were sure to take it for a test ride. They also studied the differences in board designs, looking at, touching, and comparing them with great enthusiasm. Resin-colored boards are beautiful, so it's nice to have them. Even though there were 48 test boards, about 100 people helped us pack them up. The cleanup is complete in no time. Somehow the rain ended as a light drizzle. Thank you to all the surf sales staff, professional riders, and other manufacturers who participated today! * Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreNew Luvsurf TV:Placebo “FISHQUEST II” FLEXLITE-TURBO/FCSII Koji Nishii
Luvsurf TV:Placebo “FISHQUEST II” FLEXLITE-TURBO/FCSII Rider: Koji Nishii Board used: Placebo 5'4" FISHQUEST II FLEXLITE-TURBO/FCSII FILM: Hayato Masuda EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM New size added in 2014: 5'4" FISHQUEST II FLEXLITE-TURBO/FCSII model This is Nishii's riding video. Although it is short at 5'4", the CL value is 31.7cl, so it seems like it would get caught in the soup of a wave of this size at the bottom. This is an easy surf line board inherited from the TABLET II model, which will automatically pick up speed and bottom turn even if you just stand there without putting in the rails. Of course, the speed maintenance performance at the top action is also excellent, even without the rail. The board turns automatically, making for a very comfortable ride. Furthermore, the reason why you can easily make a big turn with a rail is because This is thanks to the Babeld Edge at the bottom. The effect of Babel Edge is most apparent when you want to make a sudden turn like this. The board turns faster and sharper, allowing for tighter turns in smaller waves. Recommended for those who want to ride more freely on smaller waves than the TABLETII model! Once you get used to the board's performance, you can ride even fairly large waves, As expected, we recommend riding in thick, mushy waves or small waves based on the board development concept. The takeoff speed in small waves is amazing, surpassing that of the TABLET II. This is a highly recommended second board for small waves for TABLETII model users! The 2014 FISHQUEST II board with the latest FCS II specifications has just arrived and is in stock now. Be sure to get your hands on this amazing performance. Nishii recommends the larger QUAD fin setting. Now, please take a look at Nishii's riding video of "FISHQUEST II". Learn moreWe found a custom XTR board from Kolohe Andino! What model is it?
A work by European Glasser Lucky Busters. This is a board ridden by some pros. Can you guess who it is? LOST surfboard stock board rack, stocked up for summer in CA. This is a resin mixing cup from the LOST surfboard specialty glass factory. It's truly resin work! This is the state of preparation for installing the "FCS II" 5 fins. The form is shaped into a fin plug using a special router. After cutting, set the fins on the plug and prepare for installation. Nishii has finished changing clothes at SURF GRASS and is checking the waves. We're testing Anchor's new model wetsuit, which is 2mm thick and extremely flexible. This is another AKU machine added to LOST. This is the latest version of the AKU machine, with a green laser that allows you to always see the center line of the board. This is also a work by Lucky Busters. The board is gloss polished, so it is heavy, but it shines beautifully and is perfect for display. There was also a board with glitter like this. I found a Kolohe order board for Indonesia. It's a 5'11" DRIVER model, "XTR". It has a land pin tail. We also received an order for another board with the same 5'11" Driver "XTR" specifications but with a thinner thickness. Kolohe also prefers to ride the XTR when traveling overseas because it is safe and durable to transport. Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn more"FU WAX" is carefully produced and is different from mass-produced, sticky, cheap waxes!
This is Nishii checking out the waves on T-STREET on the morning of the last day of filming. The waves on T-Street were not as good as yesterday, so we moved to San Clemente Pier. People gather at the CA pier, and since it was Sunday morning, the parking lot was full from the morning onwards. I parked my car on the street and changed my clothes. This photo was taken from the pier. I surfed on the north side of the pier. The waves have shrunk in size and are now knee-high waves. The concept performance of the "SHORT ROUND" model, which is best suited to knee-high wave sizes, Shou emerges from the water with a smile on his face, satisfied after demonstrating his full potential. LOST's "SHORT ROUND" is going really well. Masato also commented on the merits of "SHORT ROUND," so please take a look at this blog. http://masatoyukawa.com This is an advertisement for FU WAX featuring FU WAX enthusiast Brad Simpson. FU's son, Gee, who is studying abroad and has moved from New Port Beach to San Clemente, I met and had a meeting with Chad, a salesman from FU WAX USA. This is FUWAX, which was manufactured for the US market while I was in San Clemente, Brazil. This is "FU WAX" being hand-cut using a handmade machine. It takes 12 hours a day to produce only 12 cases of 100 pieces each, making it a very valuable product. It's a high level of performance that can only be achieved if it's 100% handmade. So, when pressed, it moves and loses grip in the necessary areas. Mass-produced, sticky, cheap wax is It's different! * Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreWhat is the recommended back stance position when riding a "SHORT ROUND"?
This morning, the size of the waves has dropped, so I checked out the waves in the San Clemente area. Filmed on T-STREET. It's a waist-sized SET wave. At this size, Nishii and Shou are of course "SHORT ROUND". The beach was full of pebbles that weren't there a week ago. The sand had been carried away by the sea. A nicely shaped sandbar has been created. The warm water temperature has dropped a little. I had a long discussion with Shou about "SHORT ROUND." For "SHORT ROUND", place the grip as close to the leash cup as possible in the back stance. If you keep your foot as far back as possible from where it will contact the kick, and ride without changing your stance, I'll tell you it's the best. This is LOWERS in the evening. Maria Ward, daughter of Chris Ward. She has such a cute look that she even works as a model, and her powerful turns are inherited from her father. Nate Iomans, from the same LOST team Every morning, he drives around the San Clemente area in his white Toyota pickup truck to check the waves. He checks every corner before surfing, so the waves are good wherever he is. After the contest in Oceanside, we are practicing for tomorrow's final day. "Kei Kobayashi" appeared on LOWERS. My board has gotten longer and my body has grown bigger, and I'm currently at the point where I've made the most progress in my surfing. I just returned from a reporting trip to Niagaragua for the American magazine SURFING the day before yesterday. I'm looking forward to it being published. His favorite LOST MAYHEM board right now and in good condition is the V2-SB model. I'm looking forward to the results of tomorrow's PRIME contest. * Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreI placed the AUROLA REY fin in the center to create a driving feel.
This morning I rode Nishii's personal board, the 5'2" SHORT ROUND, at LOWERS. For the fins, I placed the AUROLA "REY" fin in the center to give more drive than yesterday. As expected, the fin area is larger than yesterday's small fin, so the sense of drive has increased even more. Chris Ward is also coming out as the waves are good. I had a meeting with FU, who is currently staying in California. FU-san, it seems you are currently developing a wax for long boards. We are looking forward to its release! The new AKU machine is now in operation at the LOST surfboard factory, and the leather color has changed from red to green. This is SHAW carefully placing boards in the popular resin tint color onto a rack. Resin tint color boards are so popular that they are currently fully booked for custom orders and are unable to keep up with the production of stock boards. The resin tint color stock boards at Luvsurf are extremely rare, so please consider getting one soon! Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreExample! Squeeze the FU WAX like this and apply it to the dents.
Masato looks sleepy while getting changed comfortably at "SURF GRASS." He carefully applies "FU WAX." Masato is an air surfer, so When your feet land on the deck of the board, a lot of dents are made on the POLY board, For such a bumpy deck, hold the FU WAX with your fingers like this, tilting the bottom of the deck slightly, If you make sure that the FA WAX gets into the recesses, it will apply well. The trick to applying FU WAX is to move it more slowly and press it down, unlike other companies' waxes. If you have a POLY board whose deck is uneven, This is an effective way to apply FU WAX, so please try it out. Presebo surfboards have a strong deck surface and are almost dent-resistant, The key is to make the bottom flat and paint slowly. The surf shots were taken at Riviera, a beach break in San Clemente. Masato was leaving for Los Angeles Airport in the afternoon to board a plane and was taking a long time to come up from the ocean. Sho looks worried, thinking they'll be late, and today is also "SHORT ROUND". Can you lend me some wax when I get out of the water? I lent them my copy of "FU WAX" and they approached me. "Wow, it's the best wax!" he exclaimed, overwhelmed with surprise and delight. If you haven't tried it yet, be sure to give it a try and you'll experience the difference in grip performance that everyone can feel. Believe Kolohe when he famously said, "No one will believe it at first. You have to try it." * Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreA report from LOST Surfboard Factory.
This is Shou packing the fins for a board that will be sent to Japan. The boxes that have been packed are lined up. This is the LOST Surfboard Factory. The airbrush is now complete and is being transported to the glass factory. These boards will be completed in mid-June and arrive in Japan in early July. What Masato found was his own personal board. I was so happy to watch it over and over again. MAYHEM is doing something in the control room of the new AKU machine. This is the second new AKU machine, which has just been installed and is now operational. The blank cut of the Shin-Nihon limited model that Nishii and I are developing is now complete. They check it immediately and scratch and mark any areas they don't like with their claws. With claw marks like this, you can easily understand the part, and while it's in your head, The shape design is modified to improve the finished product. This is the newly opened MAYHEM office. We are repeatedly working on this type of design with MAYHEM. The finished LOST and Placebo surfboards that are released are produced many times even at the cutting stage, then test ridden repeatedly, and the design is revised again before being completed. Research and development is carefully spent over time to bring out the full design concept of the board and make it easy for anyone to ride, so when it is released it is a highly finished magic board that cannot be imitated anywhere else. Learn moreFilming for LOST's "SHORT ROUND" is progressing smoothly, so please look forward to its release!
It's been a while since we've had such clear skies in California. I checked out the waves on T-Street. Because the size is small and not good, With Doug, a member of "NECK TANS", We decided to surf Riviera, a beach break in San Clemente. It was a sunny holiday, so the beach was crowded with people and I couldn't park my car nearby. We took a golf cart down to the beach. There are so many people on the beach that I can't set up a tripod. We laid SURF GRASS on our feet from the top of the hill where Amtrak runs and began filming. The SHORT ROUND performs at 120% in knee-high waves, making it more powerful than anyone else. MASATO was riding the air continuously. He looked to be in pretty good shape and came out of the water with a smile on his face. Here's Shaw surfing in board shorts, concentrating on riding only the best waves. The waves look big in the photo, but in smaller waves of around 2-3 feet, the difference in the SHORT ROUND's small wave high performance is clearly apparent compared to other models. Filming for LOST's "SHORT ROUND" is progressing smoothly, so please look forward to its release! Posted by Luvsurf .
