The local CA was on Friday due to the time difference. On this day, we had a final meeting with MAYHEM regarding the 2019 model. These matching colored boards were painted to be glassed. This is the board for "Ichiko Watanabe." The artist who painted this piece is Mayhem's third daughter, Ryder, who hand-painted it. These two boards belong to Kira Carpinto, the 2018 World Junior Champion. The art is also by Rider. It took about two hours to make each board. Kolohe Andino, who appears in the LOST video, rode it. I discovered "RNF-RETRO". Apparently the tail was broken and had to be repaired. I checked the size of the board and it was indeed 5'6". Nishii and Mason are 5'2", so I was wondering if Kolohe was really 5'6". I'm glad I was able to check it out. The wind died down in the evening so I went to Trestles with Mayhem for a test ride surf session.

Learn moreNishii has arrived in California! He's already ridden the Winter Swell on his 5'2" RNF-RETRO!
At Love Surf, the popularity of the LOST "RNF-RETRO" model has been unstoppable lately, Nishii arrived in California to finalize the big project he has been secretly planning with MAYHEM. As soon as I arrived, the Winter Swell arrived and I immediately went for a ride on this 5'2" RNF-RETRO . The image quality is poor because it was cropped from a video, but you can see what it looks like. In the spring of 2018, I was riding this 5'4" RNF-RETRO. Later, I decided that a shorter RNF-RETRO would be better, so I switched to this lemon-colored 5'2". After that, he rode this black and grey camouflage 5'2" bike, which LOST had specially color-designed for Nishii's taste. In Japan, he rides a 5'2" C4 and gets rave reviews!!! However, the one in California is this black and gray camouflage 5'2", I took out this board and rode it right away! There were some light overhead sized waves, but I tackled them with a good 5'2". Although the waves were large, they weren't deep, so the RNF-RETRO 's ability to run anywhere was on full display and it was in great condition. Nishii has posted two riding videos on his Instagram, so please take a look. @koji_luvsurf_nishii This " RNF-RETRO " is truly the most comfortable model in the RNF series. Please give it a try! This board is truly amazing!
