A certain "ordinary old man" decided to buy Lay's Potatoes XTR-FX this time!

Hello to the 200 or so Lay's Potato fans across the country. I've had Couch Potato, Raise Orca, and Raise Potato, and ended up buying Raise Potato again. Lay's Potatoes are the best. I love them so much I'd be willing to commit suicide with them. In fact, Nishii-san also loves Lay's Potatoes. The purple and green Lay's Potatoes that appear in that video are feared in Wada and Shichiri as "Kappa Maki." They come riding the untouched, loose waves 10 meters out from the long line, spraying away like crazy, so most people who see them call them "Kappa monsters." Experienced surfers say: I also fell in love with the Lay's Potato Poly 5'7" x 19 7/8" x 2 3/8" 30.8cl after getting it, and even went to Bali with just one bottle. I weigh about 70kg but it's incredibly comfortable. In Bali, the Japanese size was about my head over, but it was a breeze. Durian, our guide who is well known from the Love Surf DVD, said to me, "You're so good! I'm surprised," and I was secretly thrilled. "uncle" "Durian" So when I lent it to him, he started swinging it around and riding it, and I said, "This really big board is the best, I want one, I want one," but there was no way he was going to give it to me. The cool photo is of Durian, and the uncool one is me. This wave is so small!!! And I'm going to stretch my front arm out even more from now on. Sorry. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/90958129[/vimeo] I'll also include a video of the durian. I rode one that was about half its size, but I just don't have a photo. It's true. Please believe me. A spectacular upgrade from Poly to XTR-FX However, as I got used to the Lay's Potatoes, I started to think that maybe a shorter bike would be better. 6'2" and 6'1" aren't that different, but 5'7" and 5'6" are quite different. Imagine how much more fun it would be to ride the lightweight "XTR-FX"... (I'm just imagining it) I've ridden a few XTRs in the past, but the dual-stringer ones were quite stiff... I asked Nishii-san what the current ones were like, and he said the FX was quite flexible. So I went to the shop and checked out the "XTR-FX." The XTR-FX has carbon wrapped around the rails, making the rails feel a little thicker. The one I chose is 168 x 50.1 x 5.85 cm and weighs 29.0cl. It's light, very light, but not as light as the Placebo. By the way, when you measure the weight Lay's Potato Poly 5'7" 2680g Lay's Potatoes 5'6" XTR-FX 2620g Tablet 5.10 2575g Titan 5.9 2290g As expected, the Precebo is light, but the XTR-VX is also quite light. I'll report my impressions after riding it for about two months. The "XTR-FX" has some buoyancy. Try the fins. This winter was cold...and no one took any photos. Finally, he managed to capture this takeoff scene. Even an old guy like me can do it from here... The first thing that surprised me was the buoyancy. Archimedes' theorem states that "buoyancy is equal to the amount of water displaced," which basically means that a board's buoyancy is determined by its volume, and the XTR-VX is a little thicker due to the carbon-wrapped rails. In terms of buoyancy, it's not much different from a 5'7" Lay's Potato, and takeoff was no different either. It might be best to go down a size on the XTR-FX compared to the poly board. I tried various fins, including a 5-fin (the tail fin is a small Aurora), a 4-fin, and a tri-fin. The FCS II is very easy to change fins, so it's convenient. In the end, I think the tri-fin was the best. This was the one that felt the most comfortable to me. The XTR-FX is one size smaller, but because of the carbon rails it is about two sizes smaller and looks slimmer. The board is short and light, so it turns easily. Quads tend to feel too loose and flimsy. Riding it feels a lot more flexible than the old XTR. There's no flapping at all. And after using it for two months and removing the wax, there's not a single dent! The "XTR-FX" is as strong as a Presto. It can't be compared to poly. That's why I'm totally in love with Lay's Potatoes this season. It's time to throw off the heavy wetsuits and head out for the season of the old guys. Once the air and water temperatures rise, the old guys' power will be at full throttle. I'm looking forward to swinging around the lightweight "XTR-FX" and riding with aplomb. ======================================================= Everyone, I'm just an ordinary guy and I bought the Lay's Potatoes XTR-FX! How did you like the report? Nishii also uses the Kappa Board as his secret weapon in crowded surfing spots on weekends. This board has a flashy color design and is famous nationwide due to a comparison test run in Surf Life magazine, so I am often approached by older surfers who love boards. I give anyone who wants to try it out a ride, and I'm happy that the number of older guys who love Lay's Potatoes is increasing. Lighter than POLY and stronger than Placebo, highly praised by "ordinary old men" who love the Potato series A list of stock boards made of "XTR-FX" material that can be ridden immediately is also posted. New Luvsurf TV:Placebo “NEW RIPQUEST” FLEXLITE-TURBO Koji Nishii

Everyone! We apologize for the long wait! A riding video of Placebo's new model, the "NEW RIPQUEST," released in 2014 has been released! This "NEW RIPQUEST" model is perfect for TABLET/TABLET II users looking to step up their game. We will explain the tips for riding the "lip action" that you will want to practice repeatedly with videos and photos. Rider: Koji Nishii Board used: Placebo 5'8" "NEW RIPQUEST" FLEXLITE-TURBO/FCSII FILM: Toku EDIT: Total Video Service This model was developed for repeated practice of the "lip action," a basic technique that is essential for shortboard surfing. The order of the lip action is as follows: 1. Before heading from the bottom to the top of the wave, check the position where you want to perform the lip action and head there. 2. At the top of the lip action wave, step on the tail with your back foot and use the tail as a pivot to raise the nose. (Weight guideline: front 2/rear 8) 3. Hold the tail with your back foot and rotate the nose toward the bottom. (Approximate weight: 3 on the front, 7 on the back) Now, please take a look at the sequential photos of each step and the four "lip actions." == ... "Lip Action 1 " ↑↑↑ 1. Notice: "WEB site" has been upgraded! "WEB store" is currently under maintenance.

Have you all visited the Love Surf website today? Some of you may have noticed, but starting today, the display speed has become much faster! I'm sure you know that we recently updated the design. Today, we are introducing a new system that will display your website smoothly even during peak hours. We have moved to a new server. Now you can access our popular pages and our site more reliably, even during peak traffic times! Please visit http://www.luvsurf.co.jp and experience the fast display speed for yourself. As a result, our web store has entered maintenance. Currently, it is not possible to shop on the online store. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we receive many orders from our customers every day. Please wait a little while until we resume operations. We will announce this on the blog when we resume operations. Nishii rode a 5'8" CONQUEST EL-DIABLO model today in head-high waves on the reef. The shortboard outline and rocker design allowed me to easily ride larger waves. The board is much wider and more buoyant than the WHIPLASH-TB model I usually ride, which is half a head tall. However, once you turn 40, just as your tastes in clothes, cars, and food change, it's more comfortable to surf on a board that's appropriate for your age. If you're struggling with a shallow, sinking board, I recommend trying a board with more buoyancy and surfing in style. We recommend the "CONQUEST EL-DIABLO" model! * Posted by Luvsurf .

The FCS II fins are a big hit! Taj Burrow came in third in the first ASP WCT tournament using the LOST BEACH BUGGY model!

In the first ASP WT event, Taj Burrow came in third place using the LOST BEACH BUGGY model! There is little time difference between Australia and Japan, so it seems that many people were watching the live broadcast. I received a lot of emails and phone calls. People who ride LOST boards want to support them. Taji always rides the "WHIPLASH-TB" at Snapper, I was expecting that to be the case, but this tournament was `` BEACH BUGGY'' ! The winner, Medina, overtook him in the last ride of the semi-final. Although we came in third place, it was a decent start to the first race. Kelly came in 5th place this time, but his board has the same technology as the Placebo FLEXLITE-TURBO, which has a carbon stripe on the bottom only, and his turns have an incredible spring back and are extended. Kelly is also using the carbon effect to give his turns more explosive power and achieve that speed. The winner, Brazilian, Medina, is only 20 years old. Nishii's analysis suggests that the response after twisting the board at the top of a backside turn was amazing, and that this fin may have been a factor. Nishii also likes and uses the same "FCSII" fins as Medina, and they give the turn a nice flex. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/movies/lost/conquest-el-diablo-lost/12490 *The movie for "CONQUEST EL-DIABLO" also uses the Front-M/Rear-M QUAD configuration. Taji also used the "FCS II" fins. From the looks of it, I guess the fin size is M. Allows for quick changes of direction! Large design for beginners to advanced surfers High performance fins! FCS II Accelerator PC Carbon/Tri Fin By the way, Adriano, who also came in third place, used this. Judging from his body type, I think his fin size is probably M. Great for open face, down the line waves, especially point breaks and reef breaks! FCS II Carver PC Carbon/Tri Fin Demand for FCS II fins is increasing worldwide, and production is currently slow due to shortages in every country, so we recommend purchasing them while they are still in stock. The JW fins we recently received in large quantities sold out in just a few hours. "FCS II" Finn had a great performance in his first ASP WCT tournament. * Posted by Luvsurf .

Placebo's "NEW RIPQUEST" FLEXLITE-TURBO is amazing!

Placebo's "NEW RIPQUEST" FLEXLITE-TURBO is amazing! I rode a board with the same specifications as the retail version at a crowded point break in Shonan! Placebo's latest hot model for 2014, "NEW RIPQUEST"!! I spotted someone in the car next to me who had SURF GRASS and was using it! That's great! For the Placebo shoot, veteran photographer TOKU accompanied me today. He took the photo for me. I tried riding the "NEW RIPQUEST" with tri-fins. The new RIPQUEST model was designed by MAYHEM. The "Babeld Edge" installed in the CONQUEST II and FISHQUEST II models I was able to once again understand why it is called "Half" Babel Edge. The split diamond tail has a deep cut, so it responds very well. When you think about lipping, the board responds directly. Half is enough. The design makes it easy for even those who tend to be slow with their lip action to practice RIP action! This is my second time using Placebo's "NEW RIPQUEST" FLEXLITE-TURBO, and it's amazing! * Posted by Luvsurf .
