Don't miss the final scene! Matt "Mayhem" Biolos talks about PLACEBO's "FLEXLITE-CANDY" in this video!

A must-see final scene! Please do not try this anywhere other than PLACEBO! Matt "Mayhem" Biolos speaks for himself! Introducing the explanatory video for PLACEBO's "FLEXLITE-CANDY." This is another line called FLEXLITE-CANDY. FLEXLITE-CANDY is a cheaper series without carbon. To distinguish it from FLEXLITE-BOOST, FLEXLITE-CANDY uses a simple logo. All FLEXLITE-CANDYs come in a specific color. Most FLEXLITE-CANDYs are identified by their black color with a white MAYHEM logo. Like handmade surfboards, the color on the top continues slightly onto the bottom. The difference in performance between the FLEXLITE-BOOST and the FLEXLITE-CANDY is that it is easier to ride because it flexes more easily. It is easier to ride for surfers who want to surf leisurely and beginners. It is easier to turn, and the flex will cover up any small mistakes. (Compared to the FLEXLITE-BOOST) It has weaker rebound, but is easier for beginners and intermediate surfers to ride. It's very light and easy to maneuver. And the Flexlite is very strong. It comes in a variety of colors. All the models, this one is EL DIABLO. Different sizes come in different colors. In this case, the larger size is dark and the smaller size is light. This is the perfect size for me. There is also the Short Round. The FLEXLITE-CANDY Short Round comes standard with a grab rail. This Short Round spray paint is also cool. Of course, the colors vary depending on the size. I like how the color continues slightly onto the bottom. And this is the Lazy Potato. With its straight outline and wide nose, it's easy to surf like a funboard. The Lazy Potato is perfect for surfers who work hard during the week and want to relax and catch some easy waves on the weekend. I also like the white logo here. You can enjoy the color variations, that's FLEXLITE-CANDY. It's really enjoyable. Ultra-lightweight, durable, flexible and high performance A fun surfboard. All surfers. New Luvsurf TV: Matt "Mayhem" Biolos talks about the PLACEBO "FLEXLITE-BOOST" in action!

Today, Matt "Mayhem" Biolos himself will be speaking! Introducing the explanatory video for PLACEBO's "FLEXLITE-BOOST". In 2015, Placebo will undergo major changes and evolution. First of all, the logo design has become boxy, angular and modern. Placebo means capsule medicine, so the image of a two-tone capsule medicine is just as it sounds. However, unlike previous versions, we used a square capsule medicine to create a strong black and white image. I really like this image because it shows Placebo heading towards a new concept. Of course, all Placebo surfboards are designed by me, Mayhem. On the technical side, we have changed the position of the carbon. In recent years, large carbon fibers have been added to the center, which have also become very high-performance with excellent rebound properties. However, we discovered that by adding carbon to both sides, we could prevent twisting while still achieving high repulsion. In other words, it is effective not only in the vertical direction but also in torsion. Moreover, it is lighter because it uses less carbon. FLEXLITE-BOOST uses this striped carbon. The FLEXLITE-BOOST is for surfers who want to push the board hard and do high-level surfing. Unlike the FLEXLITE-CANDY, it is a board with high rebound performance. This means it's suitable for surfers who can put the rails deep and push the board down. By not using carbon in the tail area behind the fins, the board flexes more, making it easier to turn and control. We developed FLEXLITE-BOOST for surfers who want quick response, rebound, and a strong feel for their surfboard, and who want to surf at a high level. Simple black and white color. It's lightweight, strong and precise!! Now, let's hear from Matt "Mayhem" Biolos himself! Please watch the explanatory video for PLACEBO's "FLEXLITE-BOOST." Today I'm helping out with the production of a special feature page on techniques for a Surfing Life shoot.

Today we were shooting a surfing life shoot. Nishii teaches general surfers, We are helping to create a special page on techniques that compares before and after. The average surfer has been surfing for 18 years and rarely goes to the front side. He was a very willing teacher who wanted to teach me. The other instructor is a familiar face on the FU WAX team. This is professional golfer Akira Nakaura from JET. Nishii rode the "DOS-DIABLO" POLYESTER. Kuma-san was in charge of the camera from land. Sahara took the photos from underwater. The weather was fine and there were waves, Sahara said she was able to take beautiful photos that resemble the color of the waves in Hawaii. It will be featured in the May 10th issue of Surfing Life, so be sure to check it out! Nishii is teaching a general surfer and helping to create a special feature page on surfing life and techniques, comparing before and after shots. The general surfer has 18 years of experience and rarely goes frontside, so he was very willing to teach. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=30711 Posted by Luvsurf on April 16, 2015

I rode my new board today too! It's the 5'8" SUB-BUGGY-JP.

This morning's LOWERS. There was a weak onshore wind blowing from the morning, but the waves were good. I rode my new board again today! It's the 5'8" SUB-BUGGY-JP. The clear boards I've been riding up until now have been in heavy rotation in Japan, so It was getting pretty worn out, so I bought the exact same size board, this time in the concept color. This is a board that I ordered with an airbrush. The fin setting is of course QUAD, which matches this model perfectly. KA fin size S and PERFOMER rear fin size S. The SUB-BUGGY-JP model has sufficient buoyancy around the chest when paddling, The paddle moves quickly. It's a high performance board. This is recommended for guys who want to rip with a board that has a pointed nose and squash tail design. Of course, I use FU WAX. FU WAX is now used by many people due to its high performance. It seems that some people are applying the product incorrectly, so here we will explain the key points to applying it. First, apply a solid coat of FU WAX BASE. On the top, apply a thin layer of FU WAX selected according to the water temperature. Apply the paint slowly and carefully like this, making sure no areas are left unpainted, to achieve the best results! Unlike previous SURF WAX products, FU WAX does not require you to scrub, swirl, or apply it in a messy manner. "Move slowly and carefully to apply the paint thinly so that no areas are left uncoated." I'm about to fly from LA Airport to Japan. I'll report from Japan tomorrow. I rode my new board today too! It's the 5'8" SUB-BUGGY-JP. The fin setting is of course a QUAD that matches this model perfectly. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=30698 Posted by Luvsurf on April 15, 2015

Today Nishii is riding his new board, LOST ``DOS-DIABLO'' POLYESTER.

This morning the waves were clean and LOWER. Today Nishii is riding his new board , LOST's ``DOS-DIABLO.'' The board is made of Polyester material. The fins are "FCS II" KA-PC/TRI fins [KOLOHE ANDINO] S size . It is a QUAD combination with both PROFORMER and S size. Hachi seems to be interested in KA fins too. This size is enough to test the board. The video was filmed by Dr. Akira, the family doctor of everyone in the Yokonori world. I took my time to ride my new board, LOST's "DOS-DIABLO," in good waves. After that I'll be working at LOST Surfboards. I discovered a nostalgic custom order for THE SHARK. This is a rack lined with boards returned by LOST riders. From this list, SHAW and Nishii will select the best boards in the right size for everyone in Japan. We are selling it as a used board on Luvsurf. The Red Card order was made by a person from Japan who kindly placed an order. Now that the boards are finished, we inspected and checked their quality thoroughly. Today Nishii is riding his new board, the LOST "DOS-DIABLO" POLYESTER. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=30673 Posted by Luvsurf on April 14, 2015

On the last Sunday of spring break, San Clemente Lowers was packed with kids surfers.

On the last Sunday of spring break in San Clemente, the ocean was packed with kids surfing. Sena had been surfing hard since the morning. It was on the cover of SURFING magazine. Griffin was also surfing. Nishii filmed Kei riding. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing onshore and the waves were bad. It was a good ride. Kei has been selected to represent the United States and will be heading to Brazil at the end of this month for the World Contest. I won the annual RIP CURL GROM search contest, so I'm the only American representative. He has been selected. Everyone please support Kei as he heads to Brazil to represent the United States. Nishii tested an EPS board with two CARBONs in the development stage. The split dual carbon stripe, also used on the PLACEBO, By installing two curved carbon fibers in this way on a surfboard, Please be careful when copying as this is a "PATENT PENDING" document . This split dual carbon stripe was first adopted on the PLACEBO FLEXLITE-BOOST and has already received positive feedback from those who have been using it. MAYHEM and riders are testing it at LOST with the aim of adopting it in the future. The board is made of EPS and has no stringers, making it extremely light. The fins are MAYHEMxAUROLA collaboration fins. In the evening, the wind died down in LOWERS. The waves felt like they were coming from after the wind had died down, but they were still good enough for a World Surf Contest event. Sunset is just before 8pm at this time of year. I guess there are a lot of good surfers in California because they can surf for a long time.

Today we're looking at LOST's "CRAZY POTATO," the third model of this series.

Today's lows. The wave information said it was 2-3 feet, but There were more waves breaking. When we got down to the beach, we found this amazing set. Riding the wave of light, It was Masaki, the father of SHAW&KEI. The next wave of SET that came along was It was a Saturday and Tatsu was off work to go surfing after having Edomae sushi for lunch. My son Sena was also surfing. The board Nishii rode today was, This is already the third LOST model, "CRAZY POTATO." The board is made of PU and the size is exactly the same as the regulation size of 5'5". The bottom and deck are airbrushed colors with the same concept design. For fins, I used AUROLA WARd 5 fins in a QUAD configuration. The tail of the LOST "CRAZY POTATO" is narrower than the nose and center width, There is a long, steep VEE at the bottom, so even if you don't decide on the position of your back stance, there is a wide tolerance. When I stepped on the tail, the board moved lightly and I was reminded once again that it was a very responsive board. As expected, Mayhem is well done. The board Nishii rode today is the same model.
