Latest news from LOST surfboards! Nishii has been in CALIFORNIA for a few days. The person in charge of setting up the AKU machine to cut the foam is MAYHEM's younger brother. Here, LOST's original foam cutting machine, the "DSD," is still in use and is mainly used to cut center stringer boards. Since last year, we have been receiving many orders for colorful boards in California. The boards that have been shaped are lined up and will be sent to the glass lamination factory. These are sample colors of the new LOST mark. It's not yet available for production use, but we'll let you know as soon as it's available. The V2-ROCKET model mark has been cut short. We will announce why it was shortened at a later date, so stay tuned! After arriving in CA, the south swell started to come in. The waves have been good every day. FU WAX uses WARM water temperature. The board I'm riding is in great condition, so I ordered a clone board for it, the second one, the "BEACH BUGGY." I have already applied the precious "FU WAX" "BASE CORT". Unlike other brands of wax, FU WAX's BASE CORT does not grip. This is an excellent product developed as the perfect "BASE CORT"! It is characterized by its ability to be applied finely and evenly without forming large clumps. It is currently sold out, but will be available in stock in July, so please give it a try. Kei and his father are taking turns filming videos while school is on summer vacation. This new board is, 5'7" SUB-DRIVER-JP and This is 5'8"BEACHBUGGY. Please look forward to tomorrow's CA Latest Report Blog.

As you all know, Jordy Smith won this tournament, and Adriano Di Souza, who came in second, is the new world number one. Two days before the final day, the Mayhem riders had a very tough day. First up was Kolohe vs. Taj. This was the first and last time Kolohe would face Taj, as Taj blocked his path to the next match. It would have been a shame if the two had gone head-to-head in the early heats. At least one of them would have advanced. Kolohe was riding a 6'0 18.63 2.25 F1Stub/Driver hybrid board with the new FCS2 plug fins. Next up, er, the loser, is Brad Simpson. He started well with a high score of 8 points, but couldn't get out of the tube, while his opponent Mick did. He couldn't get the second point. Brad lost, and will stay for the next prime event in Brazil. Second chances are like a lottery. Next up was Travas, who was also eliminated. He was up against the little monster Gabriel Medina. Travas put up a good fight, landing one of the best tube rides of the day, a mid-9 point, but it took two to beat Gabriel. Travas was riding a 5'9" 18.13" 2.13 Driver R pin. He was using the new Origin fins and looked great. And then Taj made a huge mistake. In Round 4 (3-man heat), Taj held onto 9 points. He took off on a big, wall-like wave and finally made an appearance in the deep end. He thought he'd get another 9 points! But then a problem occurred. The problem was that rookie surfer Nat Young was on the same wave. The wave was so deep and big, they were far apart, but Taj was given an interface. Andriano De Souza snuck a tube off the peak and earned himself two high scores. Taj advanced to Round 5, where he had a chance to bounce back, but his opponent was Kelly. Kelly also lost in Round 4, placing third. Bad news for Taj. Kelly pulled away from Taj, and Taj lost. This was Taj's first disappointment of the season. Julian Wilson, we all expected him to do well in this event. He's been blowing everyone away with his free surfing all week. He was landing like a 540 backflip and stuff like that. Julian was challenged to a seesaw battle by a sea bass (Sebastian) and it only took a minute for Julian to catch a small tube, but Sebastian caught a better tube on the same set and made a good move. Julian was riding his usual Mickey Mouse (the one his mom painted), which he shaped for a Snapper. After all the carnage (the amazing Mayhem riders persevering), I felt deflated. The camera was pointed at Mick. Mick was waxing his 5'10 SubDriver, a short, thick hybrid board. I had shaped him for the competition. We went down to the beach for round five. My weekend probably won't be a letdown, because Mick won that heat. He also beat Seabass (Sebastian) in the quarterfinals, but he ended up losing to Jody in the semifinals. Jody seemed to inspire Mick, bringing him into the air dual... something Mick will never be able to beat Jody... Ultimately, I'm happy whenever Mick is on a LOST board. I'm honored to watch a true rail surfing master surf on a board I shaped. I think that board is working really well for him, so we built it right. Thanks Mick for saving my weekend! These were Mayhem's thoughts after the WCT event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Luvsurf TV:LOST "WHIPLASH-TB" Kei Kobayashi Rider: Kei Kobayashi Board used: LOST "WHIPLASH-TB" POLYESTER FILM: Masaki Kobayashi EDIT: TABRIGADE This year, I started training in addition to surfing. This is the latest riding video of Kei Kobayashi, whose surfing level is rapidly improving. The success rate of air reverse has increased, and he is achieving excellent results in competitions. He has made the same move many times in this riding video, and his height has increased significantly since last year. The way the spray comes out is comparable to that of adults. The layback turn is also shown here! The approach is on top of the curl, so the move looks bigger. The WHIPLASH-TB model has a sharper turning angle due to the outrun and rocker design. This model makes surfing faster. Check out Kei's riding of the "WHIPLASH-TB" model. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/67939055[/vimeo]

Luvsurf TV:LOST 『DRIVER』 Kolohe Andino Rider: Kolohe Andiono Board used: LOST "DRIVER" POLYESTER Carbon Tail Patch FILM & EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM All of this riding was filmed in Australia in 2013 during WCT contests and free surfing. Kolohe's surfing is characterized by the strength and weakness of his turns, and he makes deep turns before executing his tricks. After performing a trick, when he moves the board to the next section, he relaxes his muscles and moves the board smoothly. The driver model is a high-performance model with a little buoyancy, so the buoyancy This model has excellent performance for racing through sections. By utilizing the performance of the DRIVER model , the combination of carving turns and air has become more powerful than last year, and the lines are thicker. Check out Kolohe's riding compilation below. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/67540189[/vimeo]

Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM "WHIPLASH-TB" Taji Burrow Rider: Taji Burrow Board used: MAYHEM "WHIPLASH-TB" FILM&EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM The "WHIPLASH-TB" model is based on the LOST/MEYHEM masterpiece, This model is an updated version of the WHIPLASH model, with a slightly wider outline and slightly reduced rocker. The BEACH BUGGY is a board that is wider and thicker, with less rocker overall. Since Taji started riding the Mayhem board, the board has become faster than before, The maneuvering lines drawn in this way have become larger and the board has evolved, and this has become a hot topic around the world. To achieve his long-cherished dream of winning the world title This is Taji's signature model, who has been working with MAYHEM on board development since 2011. This board is recommended for those who want to move quickly on the waves and perform sharp tricks like Taji. Now, please take a look at the Taji X Whiplash TB riding video. Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM "WHIPLASH-TB" Brett Simpson Rider: Brett Simpson Board used: MAYHEM "WHIPLASH-TB" FILM&EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM This is a riding video of Simpson, also known as "Simpo," showing off his riding skills in a heat at the opening round of the 2013 WCT. It seems that Brad Simpson is riding a board that has increased its CL value by about 1 cl compared to last year. The board is running well and the effect is evident. The outline of the WHIPLASH-TB model has a narrow tail and nose, giving it sharp movement. This is a high-performance model recommended for those who want to keep the board moving and surf stylishly like a surfer. Now, please take a look at the video. Learn moreNew Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM "DRIVER" Julian Wilson
Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM "DRIVER" Julian Wilson Rider: Julian Wilson Board used: MAYHEM "DRIVER" FILM&EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM When it comes to Julian, this is a deep bottom turn where he takes a low stance and then waits a long time to complete the turn. The depth of the turn is the same as the carving at the top, and the rails are always fully used from nose to tail. Therefore, the air also comes out as an extension of the turn, so even if you use air, the spray will fly off like this. The rails are also inserted on top of the curls, so even if you float, it looks like the track will remain. Julian's lip, which he puts all the power he has saved up at the bottom into, is very impressive. His air success rate is among the highest among WCT players. If you look closely at the air, you'll see that he changes the grab position and incorporates it into his riding as a different air maneuver. The DRIVER model, which MAYHEM and JW have been researching and developing, is the driving force behind the exhilarating lip action that shoots out spray like a rocket launching fuel jet. Check out this riding video. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/67549408[/vimeo]

Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM "BEACH BUGGY" Travis Logie Rider: Travis Logie Board used: MAYHEM "BEACH BUGGY" Polyester Carbon Tail Patch FILM & EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM Travis Roggie is a South African WCT surfer. This riding compilation was filmed during the first heat of the 2013 WCT season. It is equipped with the "ORIGIN" fin system, which was newly released by FCS in 2013. Like on-fins, the base of the fin is firmly fixed to the board, so power is transmitted to the board, Apparently it's popular among WCT players. In this video, the backside line is surfed from bottom to top in one turn without any trimming. Please take a look as it is a great example. If you are not good at backside, please take a good look at how to position and open your upper body and use it as reference. Now, let's take a look at MAYHEM's masterpiece, "BEACH BUGGY," and T.L.'s backside surfing. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/66955457[/vimeo]
