What model and size board was Hideyoshi PRO riding?
When Taji won the world championship, we received many inquiries. I would like to know the model and size of the board that Hideyoshi PRO also rides in Japan. We receive many inquiries every day, so we've posted them on our blog. I think you all already know this, as I announced it on this blog the other day. On March 25th, I won the first JPSA race held in Izu, Shizuoka, driving an F1-STUB. PRO Hideyoshi Tanaka called to thank me. He ordered six boards late last year for the 2012 tournament. He came to Love Surf to pick it up at the beginning of March. Below is a memo that we wrote down together to decide on the order and the sizes of the six boards. 『DRIVER』5'9" x 18 3/8" x 2 1/8" (175 x 46.7 x 5.4cm) 『DRIVER』5'8" x 18 3/16" x 2 1/16" (173 x 46.2 x 5.25cm) "F1-STUB" 5'9" x 18 1/8" x 2 1/8" (175 x 46.0 x 5.4cm) "F1-STUB" 5'8" x 18 3/8" x 2 3/16" (173 x 46.7 x 5.55cm) 『SUB-DRIVER』5'8" x 18 3/16" x 2 1/8" (173 x 46.2 x 5.4cm) 『SUB-DRIVER』5'7" x 18 3/16" x 2 1/8" (170 x 46.2 x 5.4cm) *All fins are on-fins. I asked which board it was and it was confirmed to be the 5'8" F1-STUB. He received the six boards from Love Surf at the beginning of March, but then went to California for a shoot soon after, so he wasn't able to take all six with him and didn't have time to try them out. After returning from California, he loaded his 5'8" F1-STUB, which he had never ridden before, into his car and headed to Izu. Before the competition, he got on and immediately grabbed the rail with his left hand on the front side, performing a stealth air, which he felt was a magic board. He also had a high success rate in backside airs, so he decided to ride it in the competition and won the competition. ↑Looking at the photo posted on this JPSA fan page on Facebook, there are only a few foot marks on the board, so I thought it was a board that hadn't been ridden yet, but as soon as I got on it I felt the magic, as you'd expect from a Grand Champion. Apparently, he only rides this Magic 5'8" F1-STUB during games, as it would be a big problem if it broke. By the way, when this board broke, The backup board waiting on the beach was a 5'9" Driver model. So, Tanaka Hideyoshi PRO wanted the same board and asked Mayhem to shape it for him. He also ordered two 5'8" F1-STUBs. I have kept a record of the serial number of the 5'8" F1-STUB that he used this time, so that he can become the Grand Champion again this year. Using the same AKU file and LOST's latest digital technology, I have immediately asked Mayhem to create a clone of the 5'8" F1-STUB magic board. Learn moreLOST is the first to stock the POWER BASE fin system!
LOST surfboards' "POWER BASE" fin system now in stock! The roving shape at the base of the fin ensures smooth water flow. The base box is slightly larger than the base of the fin, The fin base absorbs the pressure that is applied when the fin breaks, This fin system is highly resistant to accidents such as broken fins. It is compatible with POLYESTER surfboards, so Love Surf is actively using it. We plan to adopt the "POWER BASE" fin system. Regular stockboards come with white or black fins, We have also received one set of marble colored fins as samples. Each fin is slightly different in color, so there are no two fins with the same marble color pattern.
Learn moreI returned to California from Mexico late last night.
TEAM Luvsurf returned to CALIFORNIA from MEXICO last night. This time, the South Swell will enter San Clemente, We crossed the border by car and arrived in California at 2am. I went to LOWERS to take some photos, but unlike Mexico, it was extremely crowded. This was the first big south swell of the year for the people of California, so everyone was looking forward to it. It's unavoidable that it's crowded, but it felt too crowded, a stark contrast to the empty WAVE in MEXICO. But the waves are world class! Because their wetsuits are the same color, foreigners have repeatedly asked Kei and Masato, "Are you brothers?" Photographer Masuda is also serious every day. The lobster trap in the foreground seems to have been washed away by the big waves. After one round, go to LOST Discover SHAW's V2-ROCKET! POWER BACE fins There are many colors other than white and black. After finishing work at LOST, San Clemente beach break We shot a sunset session.

We will be sharing more details about the production experience on our blog. The main photoshoot took place at Best Low Tide in San Miguel, where Kelly also secretly frequents. We were able to take photos with compact, hollow waves, so please look forward to them being featured in STJ magazine.

TEAM Luvsurf has arrived in MEXICO as the waves are starting to pick up again. This is where Nishii is staying. The inside of the room. Kitchen and living room. There are six of us in total, and each of us brought a few WET items. The weather was clear and perfect for taking photos. A small village at the surf point of San Miguel. In the evening, we all had a light session in the windy waves. There is a large and nice supermarket nearby. In the evening, we all went to our neighbor Masa's house and enjoyed some delicious sushi made by Masaki using tuna that had been caught nearby. The low pressure system that brought snow to Tokyo in Japan is heading our way, so the waves are expected to get even bigger tomorrow.
