"WARd3" developed exclusively for "SUB-DRIVER-JP"!
Check out the 'WARd3' fins you can get by pre-ordering 'SUB-DRIVER-JP'. To suit the average Japanese surfer and wave quality, Mayhem has tuned up the SUB-DRIVER to create the SUB-DRIVER-JP. To ensure that the SUB-DRIVER-JP model performs even better, This "WARd3" fin was designed and produced by Chris Ward. The side fins are about the same height and length as the FCS L size, It is slim so that the thick board can be moved easily. Furthermore, the center fin is about 10% smaller than the side fins, The tail turns without the board getting stuck even on flat sections. These fins have a very quick ride! The base is made of carbon and is sturdy. The tip of the fin is very flexible, providing excellent rebound response. You can get these amazing fins by pre-ordering the ``SUB-DRIVER-JP'' model! It also comes with this cool case. It will be in stock in a few days, so please consider purchasing it soon before it arrives!!! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_arrival.html Please check this page for a list of boards coming in and reservation status. Learn moreNishii 『5'7" V2-ROCKET』Mayhem 『5'11" V2-ROCKET』
I went to the LOST Surfboard Factory and handed Mayhem an order form for a new Japanese stockboard. Mayhem has received a large number of orders from WT&QS players, more than usual, for this year's US Open. This shaped board is Julian Wilson's US Open board, The model was, as expected, "F1-STUB." Then, Mayhem's personal board was finished, so we decided to go for a test ride. The board we will be testing is the yellow and blue airbrushed V2-ROCKET, which is located behind the Mayhem. Mayhem setting up his new board at home. This is the Mayhem family's surf skate rack. Just like their surfboards, Mayhem develops, tests and produces their own surfskates. This is the ceiling of the Mayhem family's garage. Mayhem's surfboard collection ranges from very old boards to ones used by recent WT surfers. The waves at LOWES today were small and crowded, and the waves were more intense than in the contest heats. The conditions require considerable skill and paddling power to catch a wave, The boards they used today were: Nishii was a 5'7" V2-ROCKET and Mayhem was a 5'11" V2-ROCKET, Both have some buoyancy, so catching waves was a breeze.
Learn moreThe test drive event at Shonan Kugenuma Beach was a huge success with over 100 participants!
Today, we packed 40 test boards into the car. The test ride event was a great success, with over 100 people attending at Kugenuma Beach in Shonan, and the waves were great. Team riders Hiroki and Masato also came to help out. Hiroki rode his 6'3" Lancer Evolution from offshore to inside. LOST is in the foreground and Placebo is in the background. LOST flag! Plaecbo flag! The corkboard is definitely an eye-catcher! It can't be helped, it's the first time! Placebo was the most popular at LOST, and there were almost no boards left in the racks throughout the six hours of the event! Anyone who knows the difference between good and bad surfboard design will immediately understand that the Lancer Evolution's shape design is excellent. As expected, the TABLET was the most popular model to test drive, and there were always not enough sizes available in the test drive booths. Participants ranged in age from elementary school students to people in their 50s. The 6'3" Lancer Evolution was also popular. Nishii surfed on the ORCA, a model designed specifically for Shonan, and I think it's the one that really suits the wave conditions in Shonan. It starts easily and the speed is unstoppable. Elementary school students also participated The Lancer Evolution 5'11" size is perfect for petite women. It's also a great step-up board from a slightly longer beginner funboard. There were a lot of heavy Placebo users there. Setting up the fins took a while as there were 40 of them. Beach cleanup and Surf schools and other events were held in parallel with the test rides. This is a commemorative photo of the participants. If you look closely, you can see two LOST boards above. Thank you to everyone who participated, the event staff, and the manufacturers for your hard work!
Learn moreNinja surfing at Gokin's small onshore wave beach!
A few weeks ago, it was held in Oceanside, California (a shallow beach break), A video featuring Gorkin from the BUD LIGHT SURF SERIES has been released. It also includes footage of Corey Lopez, who competed in this event. The waves are small and side-onshore beach break, so it's similar to the bad waves in Japan. This over 7 minute video is a model for Japanese surfers. Instead of swinging the nose of your board around in small waves, weight the board and stay in your power zone. He surfs carefully, making sure not to miss any lips or sections where he can get air. Like Gokin, after taking off, calm down, look closely at the waves, and see how the waves will break. Be predictable and try to surf the wave in a position that stays within the wave's power zone. Even with small waves, if you are in the right position you can gain speed and perform tricks. I was convinced that surfing can be practiced no matter what the waves. Check out Gokin's Ninja Surfing!
Learn moreNew Luvsurf TV "SUB-DRIVER" Kolohe Andino
Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM 『SUB-DRIVER』KOLOHE ANDINO Board used: MAYHEM "SUB-DRIVER" FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: Tabrigade Films This is a riding video of Kolohe Andino himself riding the Mayhem and the SUB-DRIVER, which evolved the board's shape design through repeated test rides. Even in situations where you tend to lose balance and lose speed after performing difficult tricks such as airs, the design of the SUB-DRIVER model provides stability by adding a little width to the nose and tail, allowing you to quickly recover speed. This way the board can quickly regain speed and head out onto the next section. Kolohe's specialty is the air reverse, where the tail goes straight up high. The SUB-DRIVER's unique feature is that the board's wide water contact area allows it to recover easily even if the nose and tail are facing in opposite directions, even if your stance shifts. Another feature of the SUB-DRIVER is that it is a high-performance board model with fast takeoff. So, here's the movie!!!
