New Luvsurf TV: LOST MAYHEM 『V2-SB』 Travis Logie 2014 LOWERS
Luvsurf TV: LOST MAYHEM 『 V2-SB 』 Travis Logie 2014 LOWERS Rider: Travis Logie Board used: LOST MAYHEM 『V2-SB』 FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM This is a riding video of Travis Rogge from South Africa, who is known for his snap turns that slice at the top, riding the V2-SB model. He spins the board at high speed on both the front and back sides, creating a snap lip action. The snap lip action is performed with strong thighs, and by pulling the knees towards the chest like this, it is possible to move quickly. If your posture is too high, your balance will be poor and your weight will not be transferred to the board, resulting in a slow ride. So, try lowering your body so that your knees touch your chest, like in this riding video by Travis Roggie. If your knees are too high, your posture will inevitably be too high. If you think your riding position is too high, try imagining your riding form as being "sitting down." For better balance, you should be low enough that your hands can touch the board. Now, take a look at the exhilarating snap-lip action of Travis Rogge's V2-SB model, which is a great example of what you can do. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/108644001[/vimeo] * Posted by Luvsurf .

There was also someone competing in the heat with a new board they had just bought, the CONQUEST EL-DIABLO. The flag design and podium were well received by everyone. Some people were in good spirits even before the heat. They were TITAN! This was a demonstration of Masato's signature backside riding. Before the final, we had a commemorative photo shoot. Everyone was taking tons of photos! Nishii is using the CONQUEST EL-DIABLO model, which of course is EFC HydroFlex. There are lots of test ride boards lined up! Starting with the special class heat. You're a big fan of "NECK TANS"! Hiroki won the 5'8" CONQUEST EL-DIABLO. After the contest was over and everyone else had left, Masato was surfing alone until it got dark, and the fan-shaped spray he produced was from his demonstration riding. Thanks to you, we had a lot of people come and we had a great time spending the day with the participants and the gallery attendees. We look forward to hearing from you! == ... Check out the riding photos of Nishii's highly recommended high-performance "V2-SB" model. All photos by Takuya Maeda This board is a pre-made size 5'9" x 18 5/8" x 2 3/16" (175 x 47.3 x 5.55cm) Intermediate 55-60kg Advanced 58-63kg 24.58cl is. Nishii has been riding high performance models up until now, around 23CL at 5'8", Since I'm almost 50, I decided to lengthen it by 1 inch and increase the CL value by 1 to 1.5 CL. Well, as expected, I'm feeling good. Even if you cut back this far from the curl, the speed doesn't drop, Because the board is large, the spray is large and flies a lot, It's easy to catch waves. Even with high-performance model boards, buoyancy can be an advantage, so simply increasing the size a little as you get older can make surfing more fun and improve your condition! The buoyancy volume is around the chest in the paddling position, so the paddling is fast. The LOST "V2-SB" model is not a difficult model, so it is recommended for men who like high-performance models! Posted by Luvsurf .

Check out the latest Mayhem outline that will make any competitor want to try it out. If you look closely, you can see a tiny hidden wing. The tail has a square shape. The nose outline is narrow. The rocker curve is like this. It's surprisingly flat. These boards will be flown from LOST here in San Clemente to Love Surf in the middle of next month and will be on sale in store. This is the Catalyst Glass factory exclusively for Lost Surfboards. The poster has apparently been up for about 40 years. This is a POLY board in the hot coat stage. After wrapping it in cloth and resin, we coat it with just resin. At that time, we work to create the necessary edges for each model, as shown here. There is a photo of the nostalgic Gokin's Gokin Flip posted. This technique is so difficult that it has yet to be demonstrated even in the WCT. This is a custom-made SUB-SCORHER board. This classic model is still being ordered. You have a lot of fans in Japan as well. Word posters posted inside the factory. This is the sanding room where the boards are finished. The craftsmen must have a really hard time getting covered in resin powder in a small room. Catalyst, the USA head shop for Lost surfboards. There is a glass shop behind this surf shop. Storage for the main Arctic foam used. Each piece is custom-made to fit the model. This is Terry Singh's room, the airbrush room. Here, we mix colors to match the order board and color the board with an airbrush. This is the room where we create the marks to be put on the board. The Japanese paper used for all of the marks is produced by Love Surf at a paper company in Japan and shipped to the USA. The quality of the paper is so good that other brands have asked us to create their logos for them. This is a surfboard rack that can store approximately 1,500 boards. It's quite impressive to have all of this. Today, Love Surf's clients came from Japan and Korea, so we had to check out the factories and warehouses. I actually gave you a tour. Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreInterview with shaper Matt "MAYHEM" Biolos (from swell.com)
Interview with shaper Matt "MAYHEM" Biolos (from swell.com) We toured the LOST surfboard factory to meet Matt Biolos, aka Mayhem, who hand shapes the Sub Buggy. First of all, please tell the surf fans (people who love surfing) the origin of your nickname "Mayhem". Matt: In the mid-80s, I was the lead singer in a punk rock band called "Mayhem Old Nance." Why are there more riders riding Lost Mayhem shapes in competitions? Matt Biolos: As the founder and co-owner, I build boards every day. He has also traveled extensively around the world for around 30 years. We have what is arguably the best testing environment in the world (Tressells) right behind our house. We, and our ancestors, have been making boards here since the early 1970s. ※Words in the photo※ Our factory in Catalyst is the last one standing on the beach, or indeed on Earth. The shop and surfboard factory are integrated into one. Matt Biolos: Our team at Craftsman has a wealth of experience and a steady flow of communication with the best surfers in the world who come to our city. *Jason Biolos' draft before cutting at the Shaping Machine in Lost. Lost legend Jeff “Wellsy” Wells (yes, without a mask) in the Glass Room at Catalyst in San Clemente How does a rider like Kolohe influence your boards like the Sub Buggy? MATT BIOLOTH: They say when things are good, they're good. When things are bad, they're bad. What do you want to see happen with high performance board templates in the future? Matt Biolos: We want to cater to the best surfers. *I started a contest (voting) on Instagram to design a logo for Sub Buggy. It was done by tattoo artist @The_mfb. *Matt's desk at Surf Ghetto in San Clemente I heard you're going on tour in Europe. What are you most looking forward to doing there? MATT BIOLOTH: As a surfer, I love the Hossegor sandbar... the shallow barrels where you can feel the sand and surf the bottom. As a family man, a worker and a traveller, I have always loved the food in San Sebastian. PINXTO's bar and the entire restaurant are backed by some of the best views in the world. Who is more territorial: California Trestles surfers or Basque surfers? He's a Basque guy, and the waves at the surf spots there are definitely more extreme. California, especially Orange County, has too many laws and lawyers, and surfers act like barking dogs, but nothing gets done. When was the last time you got angry on the water? Oops. At the Upper, during the Harley Pro, he had a GoPro attached to his board and was paying more attention to himself than what was ahead while paddling out, which nearly killed me. What are some of your favorite shops in San Clemente? NORTH BEACH NUTRITION, ACTIVE CULTURE, ELLIE'S TABLE, TAKAO, NICKS ( BOTH ) MC-GREAT RECORDS, BANZAII BOWLS and SONNYS PIZZA. ※This is the last post on the Kolohe board that I will be using in Tahiti. It was my best contest to date, and I made it to the quarter finals. Posted by Luvsurf .

Luvsurf TV: LOST MAYHEM 『V2-SB』 Tyler Wright 2014 @ LOWERS WCT Rider: Tyler Wright Board used: LOST MAYHEM 『V2-SB』 FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM Even for those of you who no longer read this 24'S blog, this is a collection of riding footage from the LOWERS WCT held in California in September 2014 by Taylor Wright, who has become familiar to many of you as he continues to achieve good results on his MAYHEM boards in the WCT. Although she has a narrow, closed stance, her surfing is very powerful and well-balanced. The carving action at the top is particularly impressive. The secret to that impressive action at the top The key is to perform a bottom turn from this position. Although his stance is narrow, he pushes the board down with force at the bottom, and then makes good use of the buoyancy and rebound that occurs as the board sinks and then floats up, heading straight to the top and carving in one go. The top action, which is powerful and fast, can only be performed if you can make a bottom turn like hers, so please watch her many times and use her as an example. There are many older men with narrow stances and female surfers, so please take a good look. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/108648523[/vimeo] * Posted by Luvsurf .
