Ward is a monster after all.
LOST.TV - Wardo in Puerto. Here's the latest footage of Chris Ward surfing in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. I wake up at 5:30am and surf huge waves with messy hair (as always). Nishii has also been here twice to surf. This is a wave like this, but it's a beach break. Moreover, this is a very shallow shore break, so when you get caught in the waves you get pushed against the seabed. If the bottom is a reef it will be torn to shreds. The board breaks easily here. A repairman who can fix broken boards like that was waiting on the beach in a VW buggy. When I went up to the beach with my broken board, they came right over and said they'd fix it by the next morning. They will come closer to you. Ward is truly a monster, riding this powerful, digging wave at 6'1".

Learn moreIntroducing the Effect Fin System.
Today, Mr. Kawai, a sales representative from RATIO, and Mr. Kumano, who is in charge of fin shape design, visited our store. Kumano-san is the fin shape designer for the CONQUEST and FISHQUSET. He is a fin designer that Japan is proud of around the world. The fin box system developed by Kumano is the EFFECT FIN SYSTEM. The fins can be attached and removed without the use of tools, and also have a new feature that prevents injuries and accidents by releasing the fins when force is applied to the body. Currently, Mayhem and Almerrick are being tested, and JS has already decided to adopt them. It is also lightweight, so you can expect to reduce the weight of the tail area. Here is a video on how to install and remove it. It's made in Japan and can be easily attached and removed, so there are no problems when surfing. Kawai-san placed a custom order using EFFECT FIN SYSTEM and FISHQUSET EPS material, and we're looking forward to seeing the finished product.
