It's a learning day with a visit to the San Clemente factory area.

Today's waves at Trestles. There are waves due to the wind swell, but the waves are not particularly well shaped. Nishii is a motivator and Shou is SD2. When you come up from the sea, We discovered a sea lion sunbathing! Kei-kun is peeling off a generous pile of wax. By chance, I met professional golfer Naoto, who had come to the US on the same plane, at the beach. After emerging from the sea, Andy's family from the US anchor team said, I was in the process of repairing a board that had recently started to break and that I had received from the aforementioned Chris Ward. A father-son skating show begins in the backyard! Kenny, the son, is quite skilled! Dad also did the air, not to be outdone. He skillfully manipulates Posca pens to create surf art. I went to the office of LOST's original artist, Drew. I was shown some of his recent work. We are doing glassing of LOST/POLYESTER boards. A look inside the Ghetto House There were many Japanese boards lined up in the process of being sanded. If you go to Lost's surfboard factory, Marcoform (EPS) is delivering blanks! The popular "FIBERFLEX" EPS board is also selling well in the US, and demand is apparently on the rise. Habiyar from XTR has also arrived! Without giving up, I carried the completed shaped XTR blanks into my car. Explore the boards in the surfboard factory I checked the location of the boards that were slow to be completed. Airbrush craftsman Terry Singh is cutting the masking at an astonishing speed. Mayhem was once again working on various board designs. This is a blunt-based shape for large tubes. It looks like they'll be testing it. It was a day of learning, with a full day visit to the LOST surfboard factory.

Nishii's personal new "FI-STUB" board is now ready!

Nishii's personal new "FI-STUB" board is now ready! I received a message from Trevor, a new staff member at LOST. Nishii's personal "FI-STUB" new board is now complete, I rushed to the LOST board warehouse to pick it up. While I was there, I took a peek at the secret surfboard rack. I found it! The RNF-Q board that Mason rode in the "5'5'REDUX" DVD! I asked for a favor and secured this board so that I could exhibit it at Love Surf!! The new Hydroflex 5'5" ROCKET was also a good time. Marks from HYDROFLEX brought it to me. However, the pump is currently sold out, so I can't try out its functions yet. So, I went to test ride the new FI-STUB board right away. The fins are equipped with AUROLA "TRIPLE RAZER" At the recommendation of his coach, he joined the San Clemente team, the strongest student team in the United States. With Sho-kun, the first Japanese to join Shore Cliff, I also went surfing with my younger brother, Kei. The waves were like this, not so good for a trestle. "FI-STUB" is awesome, Mayhem is truly a genius. The board is easier to speed up than the FI, and the action at the top is lighter, The lines and speed of the moves are unstoppable! These photos were taken by Daisuke, who just arrived in LA today.

We've arrived! Nishii is currently in California!

We've arrived! Nishii is currently in California! Today's upper trestle waves. The swell is coming from the northwest and is larger than normal. There has been a lot of rain this year, and the sand that has flowed out from the mouth of this Upper Trestle river, The wave quality at the boulder bottom is better than usual, making it possible to ride long distances. Mayhem is absent today, I went to LOST Shape Factory, so I'll report on it. Inside the factory, there are blanks for the production of boards for 2010. There are many lined up. This year Mayhem won the Shaper of the Year award, It seems that there have been more stock board orders from surf shops in the US than in previous years. We have also received many stock orders from surf shops in Japan that stock LOST, so it seems that the production period for LOST boards will be longer than usual. If you are considering a custom order, we recommend that you do so as soon as possible. The other day, it broke down, and I had to order parts from Hawaii and Brazil. The revived "DSD" is a machine dedicated to cutting center stringer blanks. The color design of this board is This is Terry's specialty splatter airbrush design. When you sneak into Mayhem's shaping room, There was Luke Davis' magic board. On the left is F1-STUB and on the right is WHIPLASH. Take a template from this magic and make minor changes. Each model we offer to you is sharpened and sold. We also found a board made by NOBU, a custom-ordered FIBERFLEX from Japan. The 2010 version of the FIBERFLEX board will be the new FIBERFLEX. We will let you know more details as soon as we have all the photos and materials. So, don't miss the California report starting tomorrow!

Surf small, junk waves with the new model "MOTIVATOR"!

"MOTIVATOR" NEW MODEL 2010! ★A board that will make you want to surf even small, junky waves!★ MOTIVATOR Features -Short but stable outline design. - No loss of speed even in small waves. ・For intermediate and above level. ・Knee to chest size recommended. I was trying to create a board that would inspire surfers to surf even in small, junky waves. How could I turn the ROCKET, which I used as the base, into a Super Grover? Even average level surfers can easily get off to a fast start with the ROCKET. We've taken four steps to make it easier to gain speed while riding. A. A wide nose and a blocky (square) tail. This straight outline lengthens the straight line of the rails and creates drive performance. B. A tail that has the same thickness but widens from the nose to the tip, adding buoyancy without adding thickness overall. C. We loosened the tail rocker along the center stringer line to add drive and allow the back foot to easily add speed to the board in slow waves, but added a strong vee behind the back foot, so this board has great ability to turn aggressively and tightly when the rail is engaged. D. For stability and paddling power, the deck is flat, with steep full rails and a tapered "step rail" about 6 inches (15 cm) from the tail, allowing for easy "real" turns even in small waves. We recommend a board that is about 1 inch shorter than the ROCKET and about 1/2 inch wider. [MOTIVATOR size lineup/appropriate weight] 5'3" x 18 1/2"x 2" (160 x 47.0 x 5.1 cm)50-56kg 5'4" x 18 3/4"x 2 1/16" (163 x 47.6 x 5.25cm)55-60kg 5'5" x 19 1/2"x 2 1/8" (165 x 49.5 x 5.4 cm)58-63kg 5'6" x 19 3/4"x 2 3/16" (168 x 50.1 x 5.55cm)62-66kg 5'8" x 20" x 2 1/4" (170 x 50.8 x 5.7 cm)65-69kg 5'9" x 20" x 2 5/16" (173 x 50.8 x 5.85cm)68-75kg 5'10"x 20 1/4"x 2 3/8" (178 x 51.4 x 6.0 cm)73-78kg [MOTIVATOR Price] Clear/FCS Composite Normal Fins (5 pcs) ■ Polyester ¥135,000 (excluding tax) / ¥141,750 (including tax) ■ Polyester Parabolic Stringer ¥145,000 (excluding tax) / ¥152,250 (excluding tax) ■ XTR ¥165,000 body / ¥173,250 tax included ■ XTR 3D CARBOLIC ¥180,000 (excluding tax) / ¥189,000 (excluding tax) MOTIVATOR is recommended for surfers who surf in areas with many small waves!

Introducing LOST's new 2010 model "BLUNT"!

We are pleased to officially introduce LOST's new 2010 model, "BLUNT"! What are the features of BLUNT? - Tight snap turns are easy to make. -Round wide tail for speed. ・For beginners to advanced users ・Knee-waist to chest size recommended. Mayhem's favorite board. It's great for slow, fast breaking beach breaks. It's easy to paddle, and can even take off on flat, powerless waves, making gentle curve turns. However, aggressive snaps can also be achieved with lip action and power pockets. A friendly shortboard for everyone. It's an 80's Laser Zap type board (not focused on modern contest performance), Wide rounded outline, slightly thicker and rounded rail shape, seamless flow The board has a bottom rocker curve and a slightly wide round tail design that provides stability at the top of the water. The nose front is also wide and rounded. The round tail is designed for smooth turns. The rocker is loose overall for speed and launch, but the tail has a kick function that creates an aggressive acceleration. This acceleration tail rocker blends with the deep single concave that curves up to the fin, creating a strong lift-up and a wide tail that doesn't slide, increasing control and creating a fast, tight arc for carving. This board is best surfed by those with a waist to chest size, which is typical for Japan. You'll experience the most fun round ever. While it's not recommended for overhead, hollow waves, it's one of the models you should try out, as it will give you the best results in typical beach break waves. The fins are equipped with 5 plugs so that you can ride with quad, tri, or 5 fins. [BLUNT size lineup/ideal weight] 5'3" x 19 1/8"x 2 1/16" (160 x 48.6 x 5.25cm) (M)45~53kg (E)50~55kg 5'4" x 19 1/4"x 2 1/8" (163 x 48.9 x 5.4 cm) (M)50~58kg (E)55~60kg 5'6" x 19 1/2"x 2 3/16" (168 x 49.5 x 5.55cm) (M)55~63kg (E)60~65kg 5'8" x 19 3/4"x 2 1/4" (173 x 50.1 x 5.7 cm) (M)60~68kg (E)65~70kg 5'10"x 20" x 2 5/16" (178 x 50.8 x 5.85cm) (M)65~73kg (E)70~75kg 5'11"x 20 1/8"x 2 3/8" (180 x 51.1 x 6.0 cm) (M)68~76kg (E)73~78kg 6'0" x 20 1/4"x 2 1/2" (183 x 51.4 x 6.35cm) (M)72~77kg (E)75~82kg [BLUNT Price] Clear/5-fin specification ■ Polyester ¥135,000 (excluding tax) / ¥141,750 (including tax) ■ Polyester Parabolic Stringer ¥145,000 (excluding tax) / ¥152,250 (excluding tax) ■ XTR ¥165,000 body / ¥173,250 tax included ■ XTR 3D CARBOLIC ¥180,000 (excluding tax) / ¥189,000 (excluding tax) What do you all think of this brand?

This is a surf clip of "Shin Gokin" riding an F1 model!

This is a surf clip of the new Gokin riding an F1 model! Aaron Cormican, aka Gorkin, apparently stayed up late last night. We're driving our LOST F1 model around Newport Beach, California! Gokin's surfing is fast and cool!! Recently, for some reason, there are a lot of longboarders riding fish or shortboards in slow motion. He looks like a cutting edge speed surfer, which is the complete opposite of the surfing vibe. The riding form is more stylish than before. Gokin's surfing is evolving. I'm contacting him to come to Japan this year. I hope he comes to Japan and shows off his amazing surfing skills in front of everyone. The footage was shot by Noah Alani, Kolohe's exclusive videographer and Lost Surfskate rider.

Is the new model "SUB-SCORCHER" a "trash can lid"?

"SUB-SCORCHER" NEW MODEL 2010! ★AKA "Trash Can Lid" carves tightly on small waves!★ Sub Scorcher Features ・You can make tight carving turns! - Unique wide outline that excels in small waves. ・For intermediate and above level. ・Knee to chest size recommended. "Hey Matt (Mayhem), I want a board for when the waves are really small or slow. Something really short but wide... but it's a kind of shortboard, so shape me a short board like a Danes board," Kolohe Andino said. Kolohe gave Mayhem the challenge. Like the Scorcher, the base is Lost's long-sail model, the SD2, with dimensions of 5'5" x 18.63" x 2.18" and a loosely adjusted entry rocker (bottom rocker at the nose). The single concave from the center to the rail lines on both sides is slightly shallower for drive, and the rocker is designed so that the wide tail leans left and right. It's shorter, a little thicker, and wider than the Scorcher model. It has the same performance as the Scorcher model, but with excellent speed performance in small waves. The result is a board that allows for even tighter carving turns. Kolohe calls this model the "trash can lid" because of its unique outline. We recommend choosing a board size that is 4-6 inches shorter than your high-performance board. [SUB-SCORCHER size lineup/suitable weight] 5'5" x 18 5/8"x 2 1/16" (165 x 47.3 x 5.25cm) (M)45~53kg (E)50~55kg 5'6" x 18 3/4"x 2 1/8" (168 x 47.6 x 5.4 cm) (M)50~58kg (E)55~60kg 5'7" x 18 7/8"x 2 3/16" (170 x 47.9 x 5.55cm) (M)55~63kg (E)60~65kg 5'8" x 19" x 2 1/4" (173 x 48.2 x 5.7 cm) (M)60-68kg (E)65-70kg 5'9" x 19 1/8"x 2 5/16" (175 x 48.6 x 5.85cm) (M)65~73kg (E)70~75kg 5'10"x 19 1/4"x 2 3/8" (178 x 48.9 x 6.0 cm) (M)68~76kg (E)73~78kg 5'11"x 19 3/8"x 2 3/8" (180 x 49.2 x 6.0 cm) (M)70~78kg (E)75~80kg 6'0" x 19 1/2"x 2 7/16" (183 x 49.5 x 6.2 cm) (M)73~80kg (E)77~83kg [SUB-SCORCHER Price] Clear/FCS Composite Normal Fins (3 pcs) ■ Polyester ¥130,000 (excluding tax) / ¥136,500 (including tax) ■ Polyester Parabolic Stringer ¥140,000 (excluding tax) / ¥147,000 (including tax) ■ XTR ¥160,000 (unit) / ¥168,000 (tax included) ■ XTR 3D CARBOLIC ¥175,000 (unit) / ¥183,750 (tax included) Carve tightly in small waves with the new "Trash Can Lid" model!
