The two shapes I made were ROCKET and MONKFISH. The pencil sign is FOR ME! Surf 1st magazine came to interview us. He explained what is good about FIBEFREX. Like parabolic, there is no twist, It is especially suitable for Japanese waves, and is light and floats well, so if the shape design is good, This means that it can deliver performance that is better than poly. A collection of lost boards collected over 13 years

Cross the Acre Line and head to Yokohama. I went to Beach Sound in World Porters to check out the Lost clothing that is licensed and produced in Japan. I was disappointed to see that the boards displayed in the window were not Lost. But it was this shop that Mayhem was most interested in. She bought Hello Kitty and other Japanese character goods as souvenirs for her three daughters. I bought everything I could get my hands on. Mayhem has designed a shape separately from Lost, a store selling Presebo, We also visited Murasaki Sports Yokohama store. A commemorative photo of staff member Kimura and Mayhem visiting the store. Mayhem has signed the Presebo board cut display, If you're in the area, please come and see it at Murasaki Sports Yokohama store. Afterwards, we stopped by Colors in Kawasaki City, where we were greeted by a large crowd of customers. Mayhem signed a photo next to Colors' monitor to commemorate his visit, Everyone, go to Colors and check it out. Hayden said he wanted a CL-PRO 5'10". Hayden and Mayhem are looking at a Cyber Wetsuit poster featuring Shea Lopez riding a FIBERFLEX board (WHIPLASH). They also stopped by Luvsurf, where Mayhem and Hayden took some photos. The collection of lost boards that hangs from the ceiling was collected over 13 years. Mayhem was also surprised and said she wanted to see it all. This is the first RNF that Mayhem shaped for Nishii. Mayhem said they wanted to bring the rocker and rails of this board back into the modern era. I asked if I could take this board home with me, but somehow I refused. Hayden was also surprised by the number of stock boards. He says that this will make customers happy even if they come from far away. This board from the Lost Boards collection is a 5-fin board shaped by Mayhem before the current quad and other trends. This is the board that Shane Beschen used when he came in second place for two consecutive years at the WCT in Japan. There were small letters and numbers written on the stringer that I couldn't understand, but Mayhem helped me decipher it. Apparently the bottom is a Dino Andino model, and the deck is a complicated Shane Beschen model. A commemorative photo taken at Love Surf. I'll be getting in shape again in Chiba starting tomorrow.

Hats off to Mayhem's serious attitude!

Mayhem checks out any board he sees. There are so many board brands in Japan, It's difficult to explain. Daisuke, Shunpei, and Yuki came to cut the laminated mark for Mayhem's Japan tour shape. There were so many different kinds and quantities, it was really helpful, thank you! Only shapers know about Oumi-san of Ocean Works. We're talking board shapes. We had a thorough discussion about the importance of bottom rocker from the middle to the tail. Mayhem has signed a special signature exclusively for this Fiberflex order. MADE IN JAPAN! This is a Mayhem signature, board size, and customer name pencil signed. This is a board by CHAMP, custom-ordered by FIBERFLEX, a limited edition shape made by Mayhem when he came to Japan. Yesterday's Mayhem Monkboard has been re-laminated and tail rocker added. I was reborn. A Mayhem drawing of Oumi in board form. Mr. Matsuzaki from Ocean Works measured the angle of the fins for us. Now you can be confident about the fin angle of any board. Mayhem, we were shaping until just before sunset today. After finishing the shaping, I take a shower. He still seems to be interested in the boards he's shaped. I can't seem to leave Shape Factory. We don't want to put out any boards that look out of order, including the shapes we're bringing to Japan this time. I really admire Mayhem's serious attitude!

Mayhem wants to build two of his own boards and take them home.

In the morning, I was Skype (free PC video calling) with my family in California. I used the PC camera to show my family the inside and outside of the hotel. The beach in Onjuku looks like this, and since it's small, the waves are good for long surfers. Mayhem loves horses and apparently has a horse at home. Mayhem checking out Shida's waves. The waves are about waist high like this. Decided to do some light surfing. Mayhem takes out the rocket. It's a massive 6'4". Apparently they are testing a slightly diamond-shaped tail. Before entering the shaping room, I bought lunch at a convenience store. The slightly overweight Mayhem gulps down a bottle of Healthia tea in one go at a convenience store (before paying...) When I entered the shaping room, the first thing I did was sand the tail of my 6'2" Monk. The rocker has been strengthened to make it move more easily, and the shape has been redesigned to suit the small waves in Japan. I'll laminate it again to prepare for the small waves that are coming up. (Thank you, Ohmi, for laminating it.) This kind of trick is impossible only for a shaper. In fact, it was the first time I had seen someone do this, and I was impressed by the factory's dedication to research. Hide, who ordered FIBERFLEX, came to see the shape. If you have ordered FIBERFLEX and would like to see the shape, Please contact us at info@luvsurf.co.jp. Mr. Nishii will guide you. I shape Shin's board, a FIBERFLEX Monk Order. It's so cool. FF Monk! Apparently, FIBERFLEX shapes take twice as long as normal shapes. After shaping, the powdery body is cleaned by blowing air over it. Mayhem cannot make FIBERFLEX in the US, so if they were shaping FIBERFLEX, He said he wanted to make two boards and take them home. Oumi was asked to get some foam. At night on the hotel terrace Mayhem was in a good mood after watching the fireworks display in Onjuku.

Share was unable to pick up the board due to a flight connection,,.

I forgot to tell you that Share was unable to pick up his board due to a connecting flight. The contest involved borrowing a board from a young surfer named Eric from Florida. This is Eric, 19 years old. It's a shame that Share also lost, following Shane yesterday. So we all went out to do a surf video session and looked for waves, but they were just small. Nishii uses the AUROLA 4.7 MFF fin for his favorite Shark. Shane showed off his best surfing, even in small waves like rockets. It was Shea's first time riding a rocket and he was excited about how great it was in small waves. Eric also wanted one, so the three of them started fighting over it. All three were Nishii-sized 5'5" rockets with insane movements. Takaichi and DAI recorded it on video, so we'll be able to show it to you all in a little while!! Imabuku and Shane are having a meeting. Professional golfer Hideyoshi Tanaka also participated in the session. These are the Tanaka brothers, meeting for the first time. Hmm, do they look similar? Are these the Mori brothers? If you have the chance to see the highest level surfing contest taking place in Japan this year, be sure to come to the event venue!
