Conquest is riding Mayhem today too!

Today we are shooting with the Conquest's dedicated TRI fin setting. Mayhem turns around and looks at me, saying, "Don't miss the ride!" It's okay, I'll take pictures of everything! The location is Cottons, a point in front of Mayhem's house. It's high tide so the waves are thick. He did a great job. The waves were thick, making it difficult to take off, but Mayhem was on the shoulder compared to the surfers further up the peak, and the surfers further up the peak couldn't ride the wave even if they paddled after it, but Mayhem used the buoyancy of the Conquest to take off. When we emerged from the water, he said, "The roundhouse cutback was easy thanks to the elevator wing." In the afternoon, the Lost Skate Party will be held in San Clemente. Lost team professional skaters came. The members were: Pat Duffy, Paul Machnau, Kyle Berard, Danny Fuenzalida, Adam Dyet and many more. Mayhem is in charge of grilling the hamburger meat. I was happily shouting to myself, "I'm the BBQ champion!"

I had heard from Mayhem that Shane loved the Conquest and was riding it.

This morning, I was woken up by a call from Shane Beschen, who invited me to come surf at T-Street in San Clemente. When I got there, I was surprised! Shane was holding his Conquest, grinning like he always does. I had heard from Mayhem that Shane likes it and rides it, but Shane said he rides here every day!! It's unfair that someone as skilled as him can ride it. But this is because Mayhem has a doctor-like knowledge of Shane's boards and is able to test them above and beyond the normal level, and he just loved the boards he made for the test. Shane is a surfboard doctor. The doctor heard that I was shooting movies for Mayhem and Conquest every day, so he agreed to help me and film them. Speaking of which, Shane has retired from the WCT and now seems to enjoy riding boards such as the RNF-Q and 4FIN SHARK, in addition to standard boards. Shane on the Conquest was going really fast and had some incredible moves. We were able to capture a world-class surfer riding the Conquest, bringing out all of the potential it has. Although the Conquest is a thick board, he said that the elevator wing has a great effect and the design responds well when weight is applied to the rails. I'm sure surfers of Shane's caliber can instantly tell whether a wing is good or bad while riding. But I also felt confident saying that the Conquest is really good, so I was relieved to hear that surfers of Shane's caliber are saying it's good. The Conquest has Shane's seal of approval. While we were shooting, Mayhem appeared and joined the session, and then... Mason and his son Michael Ho also came. With the LOST members surfing right in front of me, I was so excited I had to be careful not to miss any shots. Michael and I have been friends for over 15 years, going out at night in Tokyo (the details are top secret). When I told Mason that he had gotten better, his dad looked very happy and smiled. (Really good!) The waves were small, but we managed to capture Shane, Mayhem, and Mason on Conquests, with their fins doing smooth lip and spinning airs, and even the rare sight of the oldest surfer, Michael, doing an air on his SD4!

Sneak into the XTR Factory!

We went inside the XTR factory in Oceanside, California. Approximately 90% of the boards currently being produced in the factory are XTR Parabolic Stringers. XTR appears to be in the final stages of transitioning from center stringers to parabolic stringers. Found the SD3 XTR5.C Dual Density Parabolic Stringer board being laminated! Once completed, the board will be shipped to Japan. There were also many XTR5.Cs with simple and cool white rails! This is XTR foam with holes pre-punched to fit the FTU box. This is the section where parabolic stringers are made. Andy, the factory manager, showed us the newly built shaping machine. The previous machine required four setups to complete the blank cutting, but the new machine only requires two setups for the deck and bottom, and the stronger shaping head means cutting can be done faster. When I went to Lost's warehouse, I found the completed Conquest board with the fin cups attached, which I mentioned in my blog a few days ago. The Conquest is much thicker than other boards, so it's easy to find even when lined up in the rack. Today I tried riding the Conquest with five fins. I thought it would probably not work well, but lo and behold, it worked! What's more, the takeoff was stable and fast. This was a new discovery for me, but when the board is big, it drives a lot and the board moves heavier, but if you think of this as an advantage and want a stable board that takes off quickly, then you should definitely give it a try. By the way, I tried it on a waist-sized beach break, and although it felt heavy, I was able to ride it normally. I've discovered a five-fin setup for the Conquest!

I was surprised when a collie suddenly appeared!

I was having a business meeting with Philedy, Presebo's US manager, at the Presebo office when Corey suddenly showed up, surprising me! After all, Cory was competing in the WCT Quarterfinals against Parko in Chile yesterday... I saw them play live with Mayhem yesterday, but they interfered and lost. It's a bit too early to come back, it's the WCT player's specialty of returning home immediately after losing. Cory was also surprised to see me at the PLACEBO office, but he told me that he's been based in San Clemente recently, from Florida, because it's easier for him to get work done (photography). He then picked up a finished board. He then asked me what his recent favorite was and showed me this board. It was an AC-QUAD 5'8". I've been taking lots of photos and videos with this board, which should be appearing in magazines and on DVDs soon. That's what they say. Today I tried riding a Conquest with tri-fins. It went well, even with the tri-fins. Because the tail has buoyancy, when you get caught in a curl and do a roll-in or roller coaster, it firmly catches the lip and curl, making it easier to create than a QUAD setup. The QUAD is great for quicker riding, while the TRI is great for more dynamic riding. This means the Conquest 5-fin set is a great value as it can be used in a wider range of waves.

Today I'm riding the Conquest with Mayhem again.

The two of us rode mountain bikes with surfboard carriers, zooming up the trestle slope and enjoying another photo and conquest session on the upper slopes today. Mayhem is motivated despite having a sore back. The Conquest's dedicated fins are set in a QUAD configuration. Mayhem really likes the thinness and flexibility of these fins. He said that Japanese products include cars and fins, which made sense, but also made some incomprehensible noises. Conquest is better than I expected. The takeoff is too fast. I end up going too far. This is what happens when you ride a long board, so the takeoff performance is excellent. It's faster than any shortboard I've ever ridden. That speed is insane at 5'8". Once the user gets used to it, they should be able to do all the tricks that are possible on a regular board. The more you get used to it, the easier it will be to operate, and rips on this board are a breeze!

First photos of the completed Conquest revealed! And then we rode it!

First photos of the completed Conquest revealed! Mayhem is so unfair! I already have three of them. That being said, it's only natural. The other two are older models and are apparently test boards for the product. Apparently they adjusted the concave and edges. This morning, I took the Conquest for a test ride and filmed it to see how well the massive Mayhem can surf in small waves. The photo was taken at Upper Trestles. The waves were really small, with only a few longboards. Anyone who has been there will understand that there is no one surfing at the peak, which is usually crowded. Waves of this size are called flat in California and are not usually surfed. They are knee-high waves in Japan. The lone wave waiting for a wave is Mayhem. A video of this will be released at a later date, so look forward to it! It's amazing to see that huge Mayhem moving forward rapidly in small waves that he doesn't usually surf and easily lipping them, showing just how amazing the Conquest is! When I went to the glass factory, there it was: Conquest! We've finished the glass and are now working on attaching the fins, so it's almost finished. For those of you who have made reservations, please wait a little longer, as the glasses will be completed one by one! This is my first time riding a Personal/Conquest! We moved to another spot and caught a lot of waves where about 10 people were surfing. The Conquest is amazing, it catches the wave too much. It performs as designed, allowing you to fully enjoy the most important part of surfing - "riding the wave." It catches the wave so much that it makes you feel like you have to "pass the wave through to other surfers." And it even rips! Mayhem is a genius for designing and shaping such a board. The Conquest's dedicated fins were a perfect match, and Mayhem was also amazed at how well-made they were. I'll be riding the Conquest again tomorrow!

This is the latest video from Presebo team rider Josh Slay.

Josh Sleigh Showing just how versatile his 5'0" Surfskate ■■■ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud9-TlUplmo&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eplacebo1%2Ecom%2F This is the latest YouTube video from Presebo team rider Josh Slay. The skate I'm riding is a Presebo Surfskate model 5'0". Wakesurfing has recently become popular in California, and with specialized magazines already on the market, the sport is experiencing a rapid rise in popularity. Josh is enjoying the sport on a 5'0 Surfskate model. Josh is a consistent winner of wakesurfing contests and a leading expert. Of course, this movie also includes surfing in the ocean, The waves created by the board send them flying around! It looks like it would be fun to do switch stances. You don't see people enjoying wake surfing like this in Japan yet, How about you all? The waves are about waist-high, so this type of surfing is great on days when there are no waves. If you have a surf skate, you can ride it like this!
