The waves around San Clemente today are pretty small, I went to Huntington Beach, a 30-minute drive north, because I heard the waves were good. The parking lot is also full. During the day, the sun was so strong that it felt like midsummer, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees, and I would have gotten burned if I hadn't applied Sunscoolin. We started the project by having them show us all the board materials, suggesting several material combinations and board designs for the Japanese market, and having them create a prototype model.

We went to the LOST surfboard factory and sneaked into Mayhem's shaping room. It was ordered for the upcoming Prime in February and WCT in March in Australia. Today, OC has been covered in thick clouds since the morning. The wind is strong and the waves are bad, so no surfing. When I went to the LOST surfboard factory to check the finish of the board, There were a lot of short boards like this. This is for a trade show in Florida in January 2013. I surfed at LOWERS this morning. The waves were small for LOWERS, but the way they broke and the quality of the waves were great, so I had a lot of fun. I forgot to take a photo, but I used a DRIVER board. The fins are AUROLA TRIPLERAZER. After a quick surf, we headed straight to the Luvsurf office inside Lost. There are lots of boards in stock. The most time-consuming item on the left was a custom order from a customer in Japan, and the model is the "Orca" XTR 3D Carbolic. The professional-use board rack is filled with many long, gun-shaped boards that appear to be for the Hawaii season. I saw this pattern on the blog before. This is a full graphic Kolohe board. The amazing hand painting is Terry's skill. This is also full colored, so much so that it doesn't look like a board. FISH = fish. This was also completed using the glass board that I previously showed you on my blog. The board on display is the one Julian used at LOWERS. Went surfing at UPPERS early this morning. There have been good waves every day. Nishii's "F1-STUB" was washed up on the beach and placed in a lobster trap. Afterwards, at the LOST surfboard factory Secret meeting with Mayhem. The LOST factory is busier than usual. Everybody is working at full capacity. Blanks of the popular model "ORCA" waiting to be shaped. After that, we went to the LOST surfboard warehouse. There are more boards than usual lined up on the TEAM riders' board racks. The items lined up around here are being completed one after another. These are the boards being sent to Love Surf. The USED boardroom has been remodeled into a silkscreen printing room. Today we will be introducing the large-sized "MAYHEM" laminated mark. I was just printing. The Japanese paper used for printing is high-quality Japanese paper provided and sent by Love Surf. It seems that the quality is better when printed carefully by hand like this than when printed by machine. Even in such a small detail, It shows the greatness of LOST as a leading brand and MAYHEM's attention to detail. Johnny, the shipping manager, I was packing up boards for a trade show that was being held over the weekend.
