I went for a ride right away - the takeoff of the "GOBLIN" was definitely the fastest PLACEBO ever!
I got to ride the PLACEBO 5'4" "GOBLIN" FLEXLITE-BOOST right away! I knew the waves were small and side-onshore yesterday, but I was dying to ride Nishii's 5'4" POLY magic board, the GOBLIN, which was a spitting image of his previous one! The waves were crumpled and knee-high. However, the takeoff performance was fast and I enjoyed the "GOBLIN" session. The waves closed in quickly, but just like a long board, I was able to get up from the swell multiple times, and since I started to slide quickly, I even had the time to try delaying getting up. I can't really boast about the extremely fast takeoff performance of "GOBLIN" , but If you compare it with the same CL value, it is better than ``CONQUEST EL-DIABLO''! Of course, "FISHQUEST 2" easily beats it. If you look at the actual board, you'll see that the rail shape gets thinner and thinner from the center to the tail, and the elevator wing and split tail have no buoyancy, so the rails go in easily and the tail can be stepped on, making the board easy to control even with such a large buoyancy number - a design that is truly Mayhem! At 2:00 p.m., I returned to Love Surf and started working in the store. I saw your blog yesterday and asked, "Show me some goblins!" A constant stream of customers came to the store to take a look! The LOST "CHOPPER" model was created when we approached Mayhem about wanting a noseless board that even older guys could ride, and I think everyone was captivated by the cool look of the resulting ROCKET tail and nose shape design. The reason I wanted to try riding the cool LOST "CHOPPER" was because This is Love Surf's professional rider, Masato Yukawa. We have just received some cool photos taken by photographer Dave Yamaya of him riding the CHOPPER, so please take a look. You can see the ROCKET tail! The ROCKET nose is cool and stands out! This is the data from Nishii's session the other day. Usually, one round takes about two hours and after riding 20-25 sticks I'm exhausted, but with BEAN BAG it's like this!
