From the first one, I took off from the swell as fast as a long board, When I stood up, it didn't stop, but just kept increasing in speed. I dug into the lip twice and made a turn that produced beautiful spray. The rails, nose and tail are thin and sharp, which is why it's called a "retro" model. It moves in a way that is completely unimaginable from its retro-fishy outline. As expected from MAYHEM! Although the model name is retro, the movement is far from retro - it's a cutting-edge board! It moves more easily than you'd imagine! The movement is quick and smooth, and it's perfect for an adult turn. It is stable and has fast rotation. The soft waves after a short onshore wind, This is the best model for surfing in slow, fast waves that don't have much power when you take off! Examples of board size selection for "RNF-RETRO" are as follows: It is about 2 inches longer than the "BEAN BAG". It is recommended to make it about 3 inches shorter than the "RNF-REDUX". It is as short as possible so that the CL value is not less than that of a regular board. Depending on your level, choose 2 to 6 cl more and ride accordingly. If you have never ridden a short board and are worried about riding a short board, you can choose a size that is longer and has more clearance than the standard options above, and it will still be light and smooth enough that you can enjoy riding it without any problems. So Nishii, I ride a 5'5" RNF-REDUX 27.5CL bike. I felt that the 5'4" RNF-RETRO 29.5cl size was too big for Nishii, It was much more "sharp and light! Smooth and gentle ride!" than I had imagined. I felt that even though this RNF-RETRO is a large size, it can be ridden easily according to your level. Since the RNF-RETRO comes standard in resin color, production requires significantly more steps than clear board, making it extremely time-consuming and difficult, so stock boards are invaluable! ▪️Check out the explanatory video by LOST's "UBER DRIVER" designer, "MAYHEM"! Based on the hugely popular "DRIVER" and "SUB-DRIVER" models, we designed a model specifically for small waves. The overall concept is the same as the "DRIVER" and "SUB-DRIVER", but with a hybrid outline mixed in. We call this design the Ripper's Hybrid. Because it's a hybrid, it has a wide nose and a slightly flat rocker. However, from the middle to the back it has the same design as the "SUB-DRIVER." The tail width is wide, and a combination of a bump and wide tail block creates a slightly flat tail rocker and spiral VEE, so from the center to the back it's a "SUB-DRIVER." From the center forward, it has a gentle rocker and a wide outline, similar to the Short Round and Rocket. This gentle nose rocker makes it easy to catch the wave with an easy paddle, allows for a fast takeoff, and helps you cut through your line quickly. It's a good idea to make it 2 to 4 inches shorter than normal, meaning 4 inches shorter than the "DRIVER" or 2 to 3 inches shorter than the "SUB-DRIVER", and add a little width. It's basically a special board for small waves, designed for surfers who ride the "DRIVER" or "SUB-DRIVER" to be able to ride in smaller waves with the same lip. It's a special model sold exclusively in Japan, which we've been focusing on for the past few years. Of course, there are some design changes, It inherits some of the features of the previous DIABLO series. For example, by making the nose area wider, it allows for easier paddling and quicker take-off, allowing you to catch waves and turn with more drive. However, because the design tapers towards the tip of the nose, it can be called a shortboard rather than a fishboard. The areas that are important for paddling are wide, and the grab rails make it easier to dolphin and control the boat. The outline is wide up to the hind legs, then narrows from the wings to the super swallowtail. The combination of this sharp wing and super swallow tail provides high control and sharp turns.
