It's a Japan-only model designed for the small waves in Japan. It's perfect for surfers who are busy with work and can only surf a few times a month or on weekends, or who, like me, have gotten fatter or older and their movements have slowed down, but don't want to ride a longboard-like board; they want to enjoy turns on a shortboard and feel the feel of a high-performance board. That requires thickness, but the Goblin-Sprint is thick, has a gentle rocker, and is wide, so it has enough buoyancy to easily paddle in small waves.
