The most popular model at Lost last year was the Puddle Jumper. Now, this is the special model Puddle Jumper JP, available only in Japan. The biggest difference is the tail; the regular Puddle Jumper has a squash tail, but the Puddle Jumper JP has a diamond tail. When we were improving this model for Japan, we were particularly thinking about how Japanese people would ride Japanese waves and get the best performance, so we changed the squash tail to a rocket tail for the Japan-only version. The rocket tail shortens the rail line. I cut 5cm off the tail of the squash. This rocket tail makes it easy to make sharp turns even on small, narrow faces. The design, apart from the tail, is based on the original Puddle Jumper, but the nose rocker is looser, the tail rocker is also looser, and there is a long V running across the entire back leg area. The V makes it easy to turn, and the straight rocker in the center of the tail gives it a lot of drive and acceleration. It paddles and surfs easily, and glides well. It's the perfect board for weekend surfers to enjoy. It has little rocker and is a wide board, but the rails aren't thick. The rails are slightly off-center, so even surfers with less weight or leg strength can smoothly change rails and make turns according to the conditions. The concave lifts the board and creates speed. This model is short and thick in the center, so it's light and uses thin stringers made of flexible redwood. It's easy to ride the wave, and it's easy to paddle and take off. This is the new 2016 model " SUPER-DIABLO" This "SUPER-DIABLO" is based on the hugely popular DIABLO series, a model exclusive to Japan. Unlike the previous DIABLO series, which had a sharp nose, the SUPER-DIABLO has a wider, shorter, and more voluminous design. This design gives the board as much buoyancy as possible. The rails are full, but the grab rails lighten the volume of this area. Starting this year, we've been using thin redwood stringers for thicker board designs like the SUPER-DIABLO . Using these thin stringers makes for a light, flexible board. The SUPER-DIABLO is a short, thick board, so it doesn't break easily. That's why we can use these light, flexible, thin stringers. The tail is the familiar single wing squash tail. The first 30cm from the tail is similar to a high performance board. The rails, rocker, and outline give it excellent paddling performance. It's easy to catch waves. You'll be able to win the wave battle during peak weekends when the waves are crowded. You can catch waves with the same feeling as on a longboard, softboard, or big retro fish. But if you put your foot on the tail, it moves like a high-performance board. The tail end is V-shaped and has a deep concave. This deep concave runs straight from the center to the tail for improved acceleration. However, the rails are curved from the center, making it easier to turn. It's not a board that doesn't bend like a retro fish or funboard. The bow-shaped rail line created by the concave allows you to glide freely through the waves and even create a vertical lip. It's a short, wide and thick board, but it turns easily. It may look like a simple design, but it's packed with powerful ideas. It has a buoyant concept like a retro fish, but also moves like a high-performance shortboard. This is a LOST surfboard mat, and of course, this PLACEBO surfboard is also my MAYHEM design. Introducing the new PLACEBO model "GOBLIN." The "GOBLIN" is a new design based on the FISHQUEST model concept. It's a short, wide, and thick, compact surfboard. It's the easiest model to paddle and is perfect for riding small waves. It has ample buoyancy and a slight rocker, yet still has good turning ability. It has a very deep concave for increased float. This extra float allows you to ride the wave from the peak. It also gives you the speed to glide effortlessly on small waves, making it easy to surf. It also has the design to be a high performance board. It has a single wing swallow with a thin tail and an extremely deep wing. Thanks to this wing, even with a thick board, you can easily make sharp turns by placing your foot on the tail. This wing becomes the axis of rotation. The elevator wing also further improves turning performance. There is a gentle elevator wing with a step of about 16 cm that runs toward the front fin. The tail is wide, but the elevator wing allows for easy and smooth rail turns. When you put the rail in, water flows along the elevator wing, which makes it possible to turn in narrow areas and prevents sliding. The rail rocker is added to the elevator wing area. So even though the board is wide and thick, this rail rocker acts as an axis to enable sharp turns even in narrow pockets of small waves. The area in front of this provides forward propulsion and speed, while the tail area where the back foot is located provides excellent turning performance. The curved carbon line on the bottom, a feature of the FLEXLITE-BOOST structure, gradually widens from the nose to the tail. The buoyant front foot area, where the carbon is narrow, is firm and moves forward when you step on it, increasing acceleration. And by ending the carbon in front of the front fin, the rear tail area, which is free of carbon, flexes, converting it into speed. This grab rail allows you to grip the rail firmly even on boards with buoyancy, making dolphin-throughs easy. The grab rail grooves also reduce the buoyancy at the front of the deck slightly, making the nose of the board lighter and easier to turn.
