LOST rider Lucas Silveira (Brazil) wins the World Junior Contest!
At the WSL World Junior Contest in Portugal LOST Surfboards TEAM rider Lucas Silveira (Brazil) won the championship! Lucas Silveira only became a LOST rider in the fall of 2014. Lucas Silveira was at a restaurant on the beach at the tournament venue in the fall of 2014. He showed up at MAYHEM where he was having dinner with his family, I became a rider after selling myself to the world that I wanted to ride LOST boards. He also scored the only perfect 10 points of the event. Mayhem is also very happy about this win. That's right, he's the World Junior Champion. The Japanese player, Hiroto Ohara, also known as FU WAXER, came in fifth place. Hiroto Arai from FU WAX PRO TEAM did a great job, coming in 9th place. I will be riding the same LOST surfboard as the winners of this competition. The hungry Brazilian Lucas Silveira is a player to keep an eye on in the future.

This board is designed for high performance surfing. As the name suggests, this board allows you to perform tricks such as rocketing out of the pockets of the waves. You can step on the tail and sink down to create a sharp track. Kolohe also showed off the board's unique performance by pulling off a world-class combination of coming out of the tube and immediately doing an air reverse. If you want to turn in the pocket and jump out like Kolohe, Please take a ride on this "POCKET ROCKET"! In the photo, the front and back look the same, but the nose rocker and tail rocker are different! The nose has more curvature, while the tail has less. The deep single concave on the bottom allows the board to float well and produce high speeds even on a short board. Please come and surf in the ocean first thing in the morning and invite everyone to come! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LOST『Pocket Rocket』Kolohe Andino The Pocket Rocket is the best model we've worked on to date with Kolohe Andino and many of his WSL riders. After a stellar start to the 2015 WQS (winning the Austrian Open), Kolohe's momentum was on full display by mid-season. We were ready to try a different outline. Our LOST crew analyzed his video and tuned him to how he wanted to adjust his approach and what he wanted from the board to help with that movement. I was testing the potential of a rounded outline, which I've offered to other WSL riders. That model, called WLG, is a secret templet that I've seen positive feedback from many of our team riders over the past year. The board's moderate rocker is very smooth without any twists or bumps. I designed it with more rocker curve in the middle of the board than usual (and less at the tip). I knew Kolohe, accustomed to boards with more rocker throughout the board, would need the speed and control to make tight, radical turns in the pocket of the wave without losing speed or drive. While maintaining ample rail rocker, he's added a concave to the stringer line between his feet, extending it all the way down the back third of the board. This is designed for more lift and speed when diving deeper. The whole board is packed with features that allow for radical high performance in the power pockets of the wave. I wrote "Pocket Rocket" on the board (5'11" 18.75" 2.32" 27.05cl.). He took it to Europe, rode it in the quarterfinals of the Azore WQS 10,000, and then won the Cascais Pro-WQS 10,000 a week later. After winning a few heats, he emailed me, "Pocket Rocket!" We felt the Pocket Rocket was a success, and next up was the QuickPro-France WCT. Kolohe beat King Kelly on the same board. We were in France with him that week, and we knew this was the board for surfers looking for a modern, high-performance board built with competitor feedback. The performance of our latest shortboard, Kolohe, proved that. Kolohe has always preferred boards with built-in drive and a little more surface area and volume, so we don't think this design is super pro, but it's not extreme by any means. The deep concave and rounded rail rocker give it lift and pop, even in small, weak waves. The broad, conservative rocker and outline give it confidence in very powerful waves. It's also great for high-performance surfing in small, fast beach breaks and moves well in chest-to-1.5 overhead waves. This is our latest high-performance shortboard model for 2016. Learn moreThe popular series! What happens when an "ordinary guy" buys a bean bag!!!
I got the Red Comet Happy New Year everyone! It's been a long time. This is actually a fairly popular "Ordinary Old Man" series, and this time I'm going to talk about how I ended up buying a bean bag that even pro surfer Nishii raves about and rides all the time. It was December 30th of last year, just before the end of the year. I was playing with the Love Surf members in the crowded small waves of Wada, Minamiboso, Chiba. The information about the wave size was a big lie, saying it was waist-chest 45 points, but in reality it was shin-knee... I was riding my favorite Lay's Potato 5'6", but after the shoot I was surprised when Nishii brought out the black bean bag he often writes about on his blog and started riding it like crazy. The takeoff is so fast, and they're spraying so much... it feels like the surrounding area is being suppressed... What's that all about? I want to kick them away when it's really crowded. Of course, with a 5'0" board, even if your CL is 29, it's difficult to ride at an amateur level. I've ridden a 5'2" couch potato board before, but it felt like a skateboard and I didn't know where to stand. In head-high waves, it felt like I was noseriding a longboard. It may seem like a small difference, but it's much easier with a 5'4". I was able to ride a Speed Quest or a couch board normally with a 5'4". By the way, I'm 170cm tall and weigh 68-69kg. So, I asked Pro Nishii to open the shop for me as a special gift for the New Year (lol), and I got a 5'4" bean bag. And it was fluorescent pink. I named it "The Red Comet, also known as the Red Sunfish" Takeoff is about three times faster... 5'4″ x 21.50″x 2.56″(163x54.6x6.5 cm) 35.05cl The most buoyant of all the boards I own! The fins are of course quad. I have short hands, so it's difficult for me to hold a 21.50" wide board, so I hold it by the front of the fin. So, my first battle was the following day, January 2nd. It was first thing in the morning in Minami Boso. When I set up, my weight was sagging, from my chest to sometimes even my shoulders. When I started paddling, I felt incredibly stable. It had a lot of buoyancy, so I paddled quickly. It was quite voluminous, so at first I wasn't sure how to ride it. Gradually, I began to understand 1. If you lie flat on your back and bring your body forward a fair distance before taking off, you will be invincible. 2. Standing up to take off is a no-no At first, the waves were shoulder-high and I was riding sideways, but when I tried kicking the tail a little, "Whoaaaaaaa, it's moving." It was a surprise. Most of the people in Shonan with round-headed, big-bottomed boards mainly ride sideways, but the beanbag's pseudo-lip is super easy. You can hit the board hard and speed along at high speed. Then, when you twist your body from a top turn, it spins around in a complete circle. Honestly, it's much easier to ride and moves much more easily than the 5'4" couch potato board I had before. It might be the board with the best rotation of all the boards I own now. I could easily do roller coasters and things like that. It's said to be designed for small waves only, but unless you get into a deep hole, I think you can ride in waves over your head if the water is thick. I let rider Hiroki ride it. So on January 4th, I went to the beach again with Pro Nishii and this time with rider Hiroki. Today I lent Hiroki the Red Comet and had him try it out to see what it was like. Naturally, I told him, "If you break it, I'll kill you." At first, Hiroki was confused too. It took him about an hour to get used to it. That's because he'd gained a lot of weight in December, from 70kg to about 78kg. Just like me, ☆He puts his body flat on the ground and moves it forward quite a bit to take off. That is the basic principle. Make sure to take note of this. It's amazing once you get used to it. Flying Bouncing Rotating I've been doing it too much. I'd be in trouble if the board got dented... (sweat) Hiroki's thoughts are as follows: 1. The takeoff is fast. And super fast. It doesn't matter if you're a little fat. 2. It really moves like crazy. I can't believe it's this big. 3. It is not like a competition board that goes up vertically, but is more suited to running while flapping the board. 4. Fake lipstick is surprisingly easy It's something like that. It will be a great weapon for the current season and into spring when we are all wearing heavy wetsuits. If you find one, please call it "Shah." I'll answer with this catchphrase: ================================= "Ordinary Old Man" also highly praised Would you like to try the LOST "BEAN BAG" ? The ride is extremely fun! Here 's a board you can ride right away! =================================
