This is a report on the 30th anniversary Southern California Japanese Surf Contest. At Trestles Church in San Clemente, California The Southern California Japanese Surf Contest, with Love Surf as the main sponsor, was held. The waves were extremely small, about 1-3 feet (knee-high to waist-high), in the San Clemente area of California, about three weeks after the WSL tournament ended. The swells started coming in two days ago, and the set was held in double over waves. This historic tournament, now in its 30th year, saw over 150 entries. There are only three surf contests a year at Trestles. This is a rare surf contest where you can hold a surf contest in the best wave quality. There was wind and the conditions were tough for some classes, but we were able to see some great performances. Some people from Japan have adjusted their time off work to take part in this surf contest. It's increasing every year. There will also be a LOST surfboard test ride booth! Mayhem is heading to Europe on Friday night in California, so I'll be holed up in the shaping room with him for the week. We had them create a new Japan-exclusive model proposal. After finishing shaping Anon Matsuoka's board, MAYHEM writes a comment on the order form asking for a light finish before sending it to the glass shop. SEA FEST is an annual event hosted by the City of San Clemente. At SEA FEST, there is a clam chowder contest where you can sample five different clam chowders for $8 and vote for the best one to determine the winner, as well as a corner where you can eat premium lobster grilled on the beach for $18. There were also about 100 tent booths lined up on the beach and pier. One of the events is the "surfing contest." The entry fee for the surfing contest is a reasonable $25. From this contest, kids This is an event that will give you the opportunity to start participating in contests. LOST Surfboards also had a booth where people could test ride boards. Of course, the board There were only kids' size boards available, ranging from about 4'5" to 5'5". Nishii is currently residing in California. Every day, I've been working with MAYHEM in the shaping room to shape several new model ideas. We create test boards many times, but the most important thing is the design, and Mayhem designs them on a PC using the AKU machine's design software, as shown here.However, the design of the foam cut by the AKU machine is never perfect the first time, so we have to revise and change the design of the actual product many times. There is a discrepancy between the form on the PC screen and the form cut by the AKU machine, so I adjusted it many times. Once the cut design is perfect, the shaping stage begins. MAYHEM always says that they don't want even one bad board to be released into the world. This high level of pride as a shaper is what makes MAYHEM's boards so good. An essential part of the "Japan Limited Model" This is how Mayhem shapes the Dolphin Grab Rail. When I saw Nishii shaping the piece, I realized that the shaping process was very delicate. I think it's a very time-consuming and laborious task. This is a shaped bike imported to Japan with the signature of MAYHEM, which is used by everyone.
