Ninja surfing at Gokin's small onshore wave beach!

A few weeks ago, it was held in Oceanside, California (a shallow beach break), A video featuring Gorkin from the BUD LIGHT SURF SERIES has been released. It also includes footage of Corey Lopez, who competed in this event. The waves are small and side-onshore beach break, so it's similar to the bad waves in Japan. This over 7 minute video is a model for Japanese surfers. Instead of swinging the nose of your board around in small waves, weight the board and stay in your power zone. He surfs carefully, making sure not to miss any lips or sections where he can get air. Like Gokin, after taking off, calm down, look closely at the waves, and see how the waves will break. Be predictable and try to surf the wave in a position that stays within the wave's power zone. Even with small waves, if you are in the right position you can gain speed and perform tricks. I was convinced that surfing can be practiced no matter what the waves. Check out Gokin's Ninja Surfing!

New Luvsurf TV "SUB-DRIVER" Kolohe Andino

Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM 『SUB-DRIVER』KOLOHE ANDINO Board used: MAYHEM "SUB-DRIVER" FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: Tabrigade Films This is a riding video of Kolohe Andino himself riding the Mayhem and the SUB-DRIVER, which evolved the board's shape design through repeated test rides. Even in situations where you tend to lose balance and lose speed after performing difficult tricks such as airs, the design of the SUB-DRIVER model provides stability by adding a little width to the nose and tail, allowing you to quickly recover speed. This way the board can quickly regain speed and head out onto the next section. Kolohe's specialty is the air reverse, where the tail goes straight up high. The SUB-DRIVER's unique feature is that the board's wide water contact area allows it to recover easily even if the nose and tail are facing in opposite directions, even if your stance shifts. Another feature of the SUB-DRIVER is that it is a high-performance board model with fast takeoff. So, here's the movie!!!

It was apparently a squash tail version of the "DRIVER" model.

Dylan Goodal won the Bud Light Lime Surf Series, which I introduced in my blog the other day, and the board he was riding at the time was a Lost Driver model with a squash tail. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/camp/driver.html The same squash tail "DRIVER" model has already arrived at Luvsurf. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_stock.html#driver Dylan, who comes from Hawaii, is super small, about 160cm tall, but he has incredible power. Just look at the size of his thighs and you'll understand why he can surf like that. Because it is small, it is easy to maneuver and allows for power surfing even in small waves at beach breaks. This win is a great thing for his career. Apparently Gokin from ANCHOR Wetsuits also did some crazy airs at this event. You can see the sequence here. http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/dylan-goodale-wins-bud-light-lime-surf-series_71131/

Must see! Chris Ward's ultra-high speed spinning V2-ROCKET!

Luvsurf TV: LOST 『V2-ROCKET』Chris Ward Rider: Chris Ward Board used: LOST 『V2-ROCKET』 POLYESTER FILM :Koji Nishii EDIT:TABRIGADE FILM This is a super riding video of Chris Ward's favorite, the V2-ROCKET. The V2-ROCKET is a model designed for smaller waves, but it has a straighter outline than the ROCKET model and more drive, so it is designed to be able to ride well on the waves that are common in Japan, even if they are a little bigger. The rails are also rounded, giving the board excellent rebound, so the board bounces back with a lip action. This Chris Ward backside lip really brings out the board's characteristics. And in this way, Ward takes advantage of the board's bouncy properties to land airs that soar like rockets. Nishii filmed everything, but Chris Ward flew higher than expected, so this second ride is out of frame. The speed of the backside air rotation he uses in this final close-out section is super fast, so it's a must-see. Experience the drive and rebound that only those who have ridden the V2-ROCKET can understand. The special page for "V2-ROCKET" is here! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/camp/V2rocket.html Also available in XTR V-FLEX spec! Check out the V2-ROCKET ready-to-ride stockboard here! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_stock.html#V2

Test ride report on the cork deck ``V2-ROCKET''!

In the previous blog, I mentioned Nishii's test board and Mayhem's test board that he brought to the NIKE Prime event venue. Today I test rode a board with a cork deck. I was worried about whether the skis would really slip without wax, but they didn't slip at all and I was able to ride without any problems. The interior of this board is EPS foam. The rails are made of carbon fiber, making them very sturdy. The cork looked wet when it came out of the water, but it dried quickly. The bottom surface is laminated with epoxy resin. I tried riding with AUROLA 4.5 fins as a tri-fin. FUTUTER fins. The leash plug area looks like this and is carefully made for peace of mind. The V2-ROCKET itself was in good condition, The cork on the deck is soft, so the flex of the entire board felt too soft. The internal EPS foam has been changed to a harder quality for a more comfortable ride. I'll try requesting it.
